Who's going to sell the idea of local business's donating/sponsoring 20k?

If that's the answer, why hasn't it been done before now?

I can't see many being too interested in non-securitized loans with how the club is currently set up and run.

It’s all achievable.  All we need is a new rich investor to pump in millions. Local business’s to hand over interest free loans ( like we ain’t in debt enough!).  Fans to turn up in their 000’s paying inflated admission prices.

All to feed one man’s hobby. Mind if we had all that would we need Mr Cleeve, as not sure there would be place for him as not sure what he would bring to the party.?

There's a number of "Hollywood type" people that have homes or second homes in Norfolk.

Will Mr Cleeve be approaching them?

Do we need any more comedians at The Walks?  :laughcry:

Have to admit SC’s EDP column does cheer me up from time to time.

The upshot of this article is no one is going to fund SC’s hobby.  It’s there for him to bankroll if he wants to, and has the means, but no one is going to do it for him.

Just an incredibly sad article which combined with the tone of questions on the recent podcast with Stockport show that in certain key aspects SC still fails to 'get it'.  The fact that clubs used to be at a different level within the pyramid is largely irrelevant, next season we could be facing York, Boston, Hereford and Darlington all of whom have had a time in the league but are currently scrapping over a place in the NLN playoffs. Yes, there is an element where money talks and having a bigger fan base and being in an area with lots of potential business sponsorship helps but fundamentally the club needs to accept where it is off the pitch and start to build from there, the comment in the article that if we 'recruited well' we could have reached the playoffs suggests that SC doesn't see that the NLN promotion 'papered over the cracks' but was actually the right business model!

From day one he needed to cultivate local businesses and to win their trust....This is a prime example of what could and should have been?

Double G Clothing. That name rings a bell. I'm sure I remember them sponsoring another local club in previous years.

Is it the same Company, as I also remember someone not being too gracious with his comments about them and questioning how much longer they would be in business.

Haven't Lynn got a tie up with Heacham? I wonder how much of Heacham's recent success has been down to that? They must enjoy all the additional exposure they get. That must be worth a small fortune to them.

For me I think SC has had his day in the sun in terms of reaching the top level of Non League ( thanks IC).  However unless SC can come up with a pot of gold to mount a 2nd promotion campaign ( next season), we will find ourselves in the bottom half of step 2 or relegated back to where we were when SC entered the building.

All credit to Stephen Cleeve he put his hand in his pocket to support Ian Culverhouse to getting the Club to step one.  However think he’s under estimated what it would take (£) to stay at this level.  It seems he has given TW more to spend in a vain hope of survival, but it’s all too little too late.

B&G yes it is the same company, still trading and open again at 7am tomorrow morning, the one that for 17 years sponsored KLTFC in one form or another and at huge cost.
Loving our time at Heacham Fc who if all goes according to plan (still unbeaten in the league and 6 points required from their remaining games) will be plying their trade in the Thurlow Nunn next season. First Sporting dinner in June with Ray Parlour as guest speaker was totally sold out without announcing it! Amazing bunch of committee and volunteers working together!
I have just read SCs piece in the EDP, thankfully didn't have to buy a paper to read it.
There is one totally outstanding quote.
ALL PULL IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
In 6 years there has only been one DIRECTION. Cleeves' DIRECTION.
And those without blinkers on know which DIRECTION that is, don't we all.
