Let’s hope once the season is at an end the Chairman will sit down with his staff and go through everything to determine what can be improved upon, and implement the chances that are desperately needed.  That table should be full.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

The Club is advertising for a Sales Director. Let’s hope he understands the importance of working with the sponsors and actively promoting their Business, or where an individual has sponsored a player, their generosity is appreciated more than it is currently. Gone are the days of sponsors handing money over and it’s received as if it’s a gift. Sponsor money needs to work for the sponsors as well as the Club.

As an example, more advertising and promotion of the upcoming  games means more promotion for the sponsors. That applies to existing sponsors that the club will be hoping to retain, and potential new sponsors who will be looking at what they can expect for their money.

Hardly rocket science, but one area where I believe we fall short.

With the remuneration offered for a ‘Director’ I do wonder what kind of applicant those figures will attract.

In fairness, you don't know what the Sales target will be set at.

If the Chairman is only expecting 100-120k to be generated from it, then salary (plus bonus) is not far out.

I suppose the lucrative shirt sponsorship will not be within these figures.

I’m sure I read one of the targets was a stadium sponsor.  That would blow your estimates out of the water B&G.  Didn’t someone ( anonymous) sponsor the main stand for £40k this season ?   Surely the Ground Sponsorship would be somewhat more.

Think it was 25k. How you sponsor something but don't put your name to it is another mystery to me.

Seems more like a donation than a sponsorship to me.

The new Sales Director will have to secure it again, so irrespective of it being a donation or a sponsorship, should still come in his figures.

You can't give someone a target and then take all the big number sponsorship (e.g. shirts, stand etc) out of the equation. That just wouldn't be fair.

I'd say if the Club paid someone 25k plus all the associated costs with having an employee, then them bringing in 100-120k should be seen as a good move and worth the "investment".

How much would you expect from a 25k p.a. (basic) salaried individual?

If you start talking in excess of these figures (e.g. 200-250k), people capable of doing that would easily command a lot more than 25k basic (as you well know).

100-125k seems rather low when you factor in.

Advertising Boards
Stadium Sponsorship
Match Sponsors
Ball Sponsors
Stand Sponsors
Player sponsorship
Programme advertising
Clubhouse lettings
Events organised

Plus other ways of raising funds

A stocked successful club shop (not a lean to greenhouse) is capable of outstripping any of the above. But you have to speculate to accumulate not wait for something to be ordered and then order it from the supplier. How many nowadays actually go in the clubshop on matchdays and come out with what they actually want!

Well said, what about Cameron?.

I did post a thread on here around the 1st of May, last year, saying I believed there were more factors around Cameron King’s absence from the squad, we were told he needed more test’s. Well 1 year on and we have never in my recollection been given any more information on him, this just about says it all about the communication between KLTFC and the people who pay their hard earned money too watch them on a match day. We are treated like mushrooms fed **** and kept in the dark.
Now we have been relegated it’s time to re structure the whole set up at the Walk’s, we are not and I don’t believe ever will be a top National league club, handled correctly, with the right people on board we could possibly sustain National league football, but we are not going to be challenging for the title.
We need local people for a local club, but many local people and businesses have been pushed away from the Walks, we need these people back on board, how do we do that,I don’t know, but over to you Mr chairman too sort this out.

If Cameron King's problems are health related rather than a football injury then we have no right to know.

 Patient confidentiality anyone?

Quite agree with Kenny if Cameron Kings problem is health related and not football related he has every right to privacy ,and hopefully he is being supported by the club.
Though it some stage somebody is going to have to make a decision as to whether he will play again,my guess it at the end of the season.
A fit Cameron King would have been a great asset this season he is a very talented lad.
Wish him all the best
