What are other clubs seeing in this player that our Manager isn’t ?

Chesterfield play their semi-final tomorrow.   2 steps from getting back into the EFL
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Thought he just had his contract extended.

I don’t think so (could be wrong).   :dontknow:

mmmmm, so it does.  Good spot.

I don't have anything to do with what goes on the home page but guess that was taken from Lynn News article of the 20th May which presumably came from the Club itself (just checked and Clubs website says his contract has been extended).

People that I have been talking to have said his existing contract runs until summer 2023 anyway.  :dontknow:

If that's the case, it presumably means he didn't need an extension to his contract.

I wonder how much he's valued at?

Sports World Ghana reported that Lynn took out a one-year extension last season and https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael-gyasi/profil/spieler/343338 says his current contract expires at the end of June

But under the Bosman ruling if a player under 24 is offered the same or better terms, then he is still that clubs player even if he rejects them, and any transfer will be subject to a fee, hence I would assume why he has been offered terms for next season.

To me it just looks like a small error by Club media, and he’s been placed in wrong category on the Clubs website.  :dontknow:

Apparently a fee is expected.  :countingmoney:

I think it was a crazy thing to do to let Gyasi go on loan anyway.  In 2 seasons in which we couldn’t buy a goal, one of the most gifted players is allowed to go ?  Remember he was playing in a bad team for most of his stay here.  In a fluent team built to take the game to the opposition, Michael Gyasi would be amongst the goals.  Get him back, please.

I did say when the extensions were announced that it made sense renewing Gyasi's contract if it meant we ended up getting a fee for him.  Dilly, not sure how much you actually saw of him in the flesh but 'one of the most gifted' might be stretching things a bit, what he did offer was something a bit different and certainly a more direct threat, although that threat was often more potential than actual.  I think at a bigger club you could easily use him as a 'plan B' player coming off the bench but from the last time I saw him, still a lot of work required before you would say he should start in the NL
