Hopefully we will hear on players coming in, rather than going out soon.   :dontknow:

Strange that IIC and TW didn't give him much playing time.

Maybe we’d like to retain his services but require the transfer fee to be able to both afford new players and to retain the services of existing players demanding higher salaries.  :dontknow:

Given the number of currently signed players I think we may have to see a few more leave before TW can really look to bring players in, both in terms of knowing the budget freed up and what positions to fill.  Certainly would like to think every signing is a starter at NLN level as we already seem to have a few 'squad' players

With the transfer fee from this player and the income from the season ticket sales that should start the wheels turning of players coming in.  That is unless the money is earmarked for other things.

Thought there might have been a Stella signing to wet the taste buds for those buying season tickets.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

I wonder how the season ticket sales are going... :bankrupt:

Well I’m sure BP would let you know, if asked tomorrow night.

I do wonder to boast season ticket sales if we will see a decent signing being announced tomorrow night.   Or maybe Barry has cracked on and found a Stadium sponsor.  I’m sure that BP and SC will come to the meeting with something up their sleeves to win the fans over.

How many season tickets were sold last season? :dontknow:
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

They need to stop offering discounts and incentives to everyone else if they want to sell more season tickets.

You buy early, get it at a slightly cheeper price per game for paying in advance for the whole season. Maybe equivalent of 1 game free, Only for discounts and incentives to be offered on the pay on the day prices. It doesn't reward you for your loyalty as you are then excluded from these incentives.

Half season tickets would be a good option if people don't know if they can commit to the full season ticket. To cover a set number of games rather than date to date.

I would have thought last years Season Ticket holders would have been rewarded somehow. We bought them at a reasonable price then buy on the day tickets ended up cheaper.

This is why I advocated not selling season tickets for 2022-23 as I think the club could well find itself in a similar position to 2021-22 of making the decision to offer incentives for specific or groups of games which seems to make more sense to me.

Mall - I really don't see there can be much headroom for a 'stella' signing unless we get a silly offer for one of the existing players already signed up for next year, will be interesting to see if the Gyasi fee is revealed but can't think it will be game changing in the grand scheme of things.

I would have thought Tony with around 13 players Released, failed to renew, sold or returned to their parent Club there should be a fair amount of wages saved on that little lot to bring in some quality.

Take the point Mall, although not sure I make it 13 (7 loanees inc Coulson, Barrows, Hickman, Iontton & Gascoigne who hardly played and still waiting on Clunan) but you would imagine we will have to be running with a smaller squad than at NL level and I guess we wouldn't have been paying the full wages of all of the loanees anyway.  Still think the priority has to be moving on Bowry and Bird, particularly with Aaron Jones now confirmed which makes 9 defenders signed up which seems too many to me, particularly as we weren't that solid last season and have already lost the most reliable defender (Barrows) from that group.  Starters required for midfield (even if Clunan signs), up front and probably at centre half but appreciate there isn't a limitless budget so compromises have to be made somewhere.
