In terms of income from outside BP needs to get his people onboard and hitting the ground running. Season starts in around 7 weeks.  We always seem to move that little bit too late
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Agreed Mallard, even if the Junior Linnets Club applicant was appointed today you'd be lucky to get the enhanced DBS check back within 8 weeks.

Ain’t it amazing years of crying over fan involvement at club and still the knockers moan cos they think jobs should be paid and there’s the trust always banging on that they would run club purely with volunteers you can’t just make this up at times

Too true Loopy, you can't make it up.

Looks like Barrie is keeping a close eye on the forum with that agenda.  All credit to him.

Social Media is something that Barrie needs to pay urgent attention to and maybe rein in SC on his attacks on anything that doesn’t go his way.   The rest of the Media team ( under Reg) need to get proactive as nothing much seems to come out.  It’s like the Club is sleeping for the summer, with only BP getting things out there and moving.

Yep, other than mentioning the website, nothing about media. We know we are miles behind other clubs, even from lower levels..   :dontknow:

I'm sure Barrie will now add this to his list.

Seems that Barrie wants volunteers to do for nothing the job that he is paid to do.
If I were as good as Barrie wants his volunteers to be I would think they would be able to walk into a well paid job anywhere.
Part time Barrie wants full time volunteers. Looks like another balls up.

Lots of clubs going down the consultative route, saw this on the Salford site last week https://salfordcityfc.co.uk/soul-of-salford-launch/   For those that are questioning the volunteer / fan involvement process, can I just ask why you think it works at other clubs but hasn't / won't work at Lynn?

Fan's owning part of club or celebrity involvement?  :dontknow:

Maybe you've got to have one or both of these.   :dontknow:

I wonder how many applicants they have now had. Also, are they being proactive and head hunting, or reactive and just waiting for people to respond to the adverts. :dontknow:

It will be interesting if they end up as before and recruit from within, or bring in some fresh blood as they did with Reg.

Anyone knows why he left? As he was a seasoned professional, let's hope he didn't think the new job discription was asking a bit too much. If he did, that doesn't bode too well with regards to us finding someone to fill his shoes.

It seems that neither way has worked that well.  Internal promotion with jobs handed to inexperienced people, in that particular field then to Reg who had a proven track record.

Seems very much like you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t.   Is there actually anyone left behind the scenes who would be good enough and be prepared to take it on ?    The name that springs to mind is the chap Heaphy.  Seems to be and around the Club for a lot of years and taken on X number of roles ( 50/50 and handling the media side).  Not sure if he has any journalistic background, but on the plus side he knows the internal workings of the Club and is a true fan.

Its important that Barrie is his own man and makes his own decisions on the appointments.

For far too long, many of the appointments have been made from within a very small circle, irrespective of ability or experience. It’s been a case of who you know not what you know. That’s been bad enough, but there has also been cases where these very same people have then blocked others from becoming involved which had to of been to the detriment of the club.

Hopefully Barrie is experienced enough to see through these people. Who can deny that fresh blood is needed?

Well if Barrie has to tip is cap to SC on every little decision then he is not really acting the part of a CEO.  Time and time again we hear of the things being micro managed from above.

Maybe BP is that strong willed individual that we are led to believe he is.
