Maybe best not to speculate why he didn’t play at Lynn last season.  Just good to see a very talented lad playing football somewhere.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Maybe they are, would be a little underwhelming if that is the case.  SC did say over a week ago that two were more less over the line.  Maybe the wheels fell off or could we be waiting until July 1st ?

I wonder if Tommy will have the job of running his eye over a good few trialists, hand picked by the Chairman.  I seem to recall IC had that job last pre-season.

Club have announced Cam Hergreaves has signed for 2022-23 https://www.kltown.co.uk/2022/06/30/cam-hargreaves-signs-extension/

Starting to get worried now that we won't see any 'new' faces, understand the argument that all of last seasons squad were playing at step 1 last season so will naturally be 'better' this season against step 2 sides but really thought the squad needed more of a rebuild that TW seems to think - has he seen much NLN football?

Would like to see some new faces but do think Cam is a good signing.

Wouldn't disagree that Cam is a good signing for step 2 and even with him I think we are still short in midfield but comparing the current squad (standing at 17) with the squad that we had last time we were at this level I think we are a probably well short.  Appreciate there is something to be said for continuity and TW and the players will know what to expect from each other, the real question is whether they are good enough collectively at the level we find ourselves at.

Theo Hudson signs.

Managers son extends his contract.

So essentially we have kept the nucleus of the team that saw out the end of last season, minus Barrows - a big loss, but on the plus side, I won't need to put any new names to new faces, which helps when you are in your 60s and failing eyesight.

With no major signings appearing so far do the signs look that promising for the new season ?

As for the Managers boy getting an extended deal, all I can think is they must rate far more than his previous two clubs.

I wonder if BP is thinking have I made the right call taking this one on ?

So we have our first new face and slightly underwhelming that it is a step 3 centre half which, however good he turns out to be, doesn't help the balance of the squad.  Presumably at least one more needs to go (I guess the likely candidate is Bowry and also maybe at least one of Altintop/Fleming) before we can address the shortfall in midfield and up front?

Interesting to see where the few of last seasons squad who we haven't re-signed will be playing next season, only 4 staying at step 1 (Barrows, Gyasi and loanees Phipps & McGavin) so no real surprise that we struggled, still not convinced that full-time is the right option for the club at this point in time but I guess you could say that it is an indication that SC is backing TW.  Thankfully it seems that all of the new signings are single year deals so not tying our hands for 2023-24.

So we wait four weeks for a signing and get 4 ( 2 really i suppose) no disrespect but can see any of these setting the league on fire and putting much needed bums on seats or the ball into the back of the net.
As predicted too little too late same as last two seasons

Josh Barrett signs new contract

I know this won't be the majority view but don't think this is a wise move, maybe if he is ripping up the NLN (which I appreciate he has the technical ability to do) he will attract interest from further up the pyramid but committing to any full-time contracts for 2023-24 is imo a mistake.
