Surely somebody must have checked the pump over last few days before the game so the pitch could be well watered? Now entering the hottest few days on record and can't water the pitch properly it's really poor .
As for the result tonight not a great surprise against better quality opposition perhaps whilst Mr Cleeve is down Wilkos tomorrow buying a few watering cans he get buy some barn doors up put next to the goals as our strikers don't seem able to hit a barn door most of the time they might be able to get a few shots in on goal 😂

Jones didn't look half as switched on as the trial keeper.
Aaron Jones was lively. Coulson was very assured. Denton and Scott nothing remarkable to say good or bad. Crowther impressed me. Hargreaves was pumped and energetic throughout. Widdrington pulled off a lovely bit of skill first half. Clunan solid. Omatayo a handful at both ends. Walker I barely noticed.

Stans bucket could come in useful at last!

With regard to the pitch it doesn't  seem  as if it hasn't been touched since end of last season.Out of all trialists and new players the goalkeep impressed me most excellent distribution. Is Charles injured hasn't played in friendlies yet.

The trial keeper seemed reluctant to make any drop kicks. Everything was from the ground.

Less overnights stops = more budget available for such things as a 2nd keeper.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

As much as a good 2nd choice keeper is desirable, any “saved funds” from less hotel stays should be prioritised for a striker who at least has a clue where the goal is!!

Some would say with the cost of an overnight stay and extra day’s coach hire there would enough for both.

To be fair to the trial keeper, Nemesis, he didn't have a 6ft4 target to go long to

For all the people who are complaining about the pitch, before you complain
why dont you ask some one at the club  what is wrong. The pump packed up
last week and they are now waiting for the new part. If you just take a look
you will see tempary sprinklers are in place today. Untill last week the pitch
had been watered every night, before complaining ask some one.

There you go, all you paying fans. From one of the horses mouth.

Don't expect the Club to inform you what's going on. It's your job to ask.
