Agree with Tony M. IC brought some sparkle to the team, I would prefer he was here now, rather than TW. I liked Ian’s style of passing football. That is in the past unfortunately, so we have to now back Tommy. Hopefully he will do well.

Did you actually watch any of the games under  IC last season?
We were dog**** in most of them.
No denying what he did for us in the past, but his time was obviously over.

Yes, most of the home games. Not having someone who could score certainly didn’t help. I would have liked to have seen Joe Taylor given a few games, we needed someone who new how to score, because Omotoyo was pretty woeful.
I thought some of the football played under IC wasn’t that bad, but without any real goal threat, it was inevitable we would struggle. TW came in and if you watch his first interview again, he says about only needing to go up two places. In all honesty we never got even close, even if there was the remotest glamour of hope as Aldershot went on a losing streak.
Why do you think Tommy never brought in a striker, did he really think it wasn’t needed. There is no doubting Tommy’s passion and this season it will completely his team, so hopefully he does well. I’m looking forward to the new season and watching my team, who will hopefully be at the top end of the league, unlike last season.

I expect a finish of around 7th or 8th this season, with a small outside chance of sneaking into the play offs. This is still a VERY tough league and maybe some people are underestimating the quality of a lot of the sides in it.

Some good strong sides in this league imo I think we will struggle look how long it’s taken York to get out , we came down because we wasn’t good enough full stop can see where we have signed anyone exceptional who going give us that big lift we need like I said some good solid teams in this league

In fairness Loppy under IC we had no real huge stand out players when we were last at this level.   However what Culverhouse did was install a seize mentality and got the very best out of each player.  The whole was greater than the sum of its parts.

Think Tommy deserves the time to get this new phase underway.   This is now his team and he will stand it fall with it.

3 points Saturday will be a decent start

Siege seize.... was a total togetherness that took us to step one.  Not only did we gain promotion but the style in which we played was a pleasure to watch.

That set the bar at this level for us.   Sad how it turned out but the relationship between SC and IC was always far from harmonious.  It seems that SC and TW are very much on the same wavelength.  So has to be a big plus
