Must be more to this than getting the order of the Dan Mack after a narrow 1-0 home defeat against the League favourites.  Be interesting to see how quickly he is replaced.

Lynn hoping for a bumper crowd on Saturday.   What figure constitutes a ‘bumper gate’ ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Personally think anything in four figures will be a 'bumper gate' this season.  I think the combination of those that got out of the habit of coming during COVID, those that gave up during two very poor NL campaigns, those that can't afford to come (entrance / transport) means a pretty difficult landscape for football at the Walks.  Some clubs may be able to increase gates this season due to local factors but I can't see Lynn being one of them even with the likelihood of a more positive season on the pitch.

TonyM I believe you are just about right on your assesment of the coming
season. I can not see a 4 figure gate on Sat I will go for 700/800 I really hope
I am proved wrong. If we have a good run there may be up to the magic 4
figures we can only hope " Up THE LINNETS " .

Our opening home game, the last time we were at this level pulled in over 1100.  That was after we got a 3-0 away stuffing at Guiseley on the opening day.

Surely that’s the least there should be

But then we were playing step 2 football for the first time in over a decade and still riding the wave of the super play off promotion. Now we're on the back of a relegation.

Ap I get that but there is also a counter argument that gates in general have risen after Covid and those numbers are not just a spike but have continued.   Plus we are under a new regime in TW.

Could go either way.  If the weather is hot it might keep people away and on the other hand it might just draw quite a large crowd. I'm going to say 900 but hope it will more :scarf:

Its the old adage, fans will support a winning team. If we do well in this league and are winning matches, the the fans will return. Very few will want to go week in week out to support a team that is constantly losing games. If/when we are flying near the top of the league, then hopefully we will get the 1500 ish + we used to get years ago. Then hopefully, not these days obviously, there will.be room to roll a fag standing in front of the main stand.

If early bird season tickets at reasonable  prices were introduced we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Maybe people thinking of buying a season ticket are sceptical as each year there is something that comes along whereby other ‘incentives’ are offered to the rest of the fanbase to the detriment of those who buy a season ticket.

Agreed Mallard.

I have decided not to buy a Season Ticket for that reason and that I am likely to miss several games due to major Operation due for beginning of September.
