For us on the outside this all seems very confusing.  Who is the FOTL treasure and have the accounts for the last year been presented and signed off or will this now be discussed and hopefully agreed at the forthcoming EGM ?

Perhaps you should sign up as a member Mallard, could have the deciding vote. :laughcry: :laughcry: I won't know full details until the EGM as i was not present at the AGM. :dontknow:

Very quick summary of tonight's EGM.  The FotL has officially ceased and will now be closed down in accordance to with the constitution - any remaining funds to be used to purchase equipment to be donated to the club.  The meeting put forward some ideas for a small working group to take to the club as to areas where they would like the funds to be directed, namely:
  *  renovation tea hut / toilets on the Seven Sisters end of the North Terrace
  *  look into installing some seating / disabled area in the North Terrace
  *  screens for use in the event of a player being stretchered off as currently the cafe has to be closed as they are unable to take a stretcher into the physio room / changing rooms

There is also still one more draw to be made for the 100 club at the end of August

That should be a fair old wedge of cash waiting to be spent as don’t recall any projects of more in recent history where the money could have gone.  Let’s hope this nest egg is spent on improvements for the fans and not to pay off any bills.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Very rough figure of £5K remaining, not sure where you think a 'fair old wedge' would come from given money raised in previous years had been donated to the club rather than any 'specific projects'.  I guess we wait and see what the working group and the club can come up with given the views expressed by the members who attended last nights EGM.

Surely the 5k should be spent on something to benefit the supporters and not just handed over for the Club to spend on paying the Lecky bill, for example.

I see some Leagues are going with an early kick off in the winter months to save its members money on energy for floodlights etc.   Would it work in the NLN ?  As in would fans still attend in the same numbers for say a 1pm kick off ?

How about decent disabled seating, where the view isn't blocked by people standing in front of it? :welcome:

Personally, I'd agree with that, but at the end of the day as long as the members are aware of what THEIR money is being spent on, then anything goes. As long as an individual is not making that decision, and nothing is being done without the consent of the members.

First they fascinate the fools, then they attempt to gag the intelligent.

How about sticking £5k into some marketing?  For example both The Premiership and Championship are closing down in November and not re-opening for business until Boxing Day.

There is going to be a lot of fans ‘starved’ of live Football so why not make a proactive campaign to attract them to the Walks?  Many other Non League Clubs are starting to formulate plans to attract new support.

If it was down to me I would donate all remaining funds to the 8:56 foundation, after all the FOTL was there to assist the football club, the fans and the community, according to the constitution? Can't see a better cause? :dontknow:
