Brackley at Home Tuesday night.
« on: August 14, 2022, 10:36:23 AM »
Big big test this one.  Brackley have been up and around the play offs for the last few years.   Mixed start to the season with a home win over new boys Scarborough on the opening day but a 2-0 defeat on the road at Chester on Saturday.

Will both teams make a few changes after the strength sapping games on Saturday ?

I fancy a 2-1 home win with 1190 in attendance.

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Brackley will be no different to most other teams, all tough games I think. Reading earlier posts, our first two games were ones we were expected to win. I’m pleased the players don’t take that attitude. However, two wins we have and surprisingly only Banbury with a 100% start after just 2 games.
I’m not sure where Barrett fits in at the moment. Doesn’t appear to be making an effort to trim down and doesn’t want to play the simple pass, which is frustrating.
I would like to see us try and maintain possession for longer periods and cut out some of the long balls. But, overall am pleased with our start, not conceding is a big plus.
Prediction for Tuesday KL 1-0 B. Can’t see an improvement on the attendance, certainly not by 300, but hopefully I’m wrong.
Would like to see McFadden back soon, hopefully he isn’t too far away.

Agree with John H, about Barrett, he has the class to be a very good player, I was expecting him to stroll through 90 minutes ,but he still doesn't  look 100%.  Brackley will be a good test, we need all players to be on their game. I cannot see much improvement in the attendance, Asking fans to pay around £40 in a few days is a lot, the club must realise that times are very hard at the present, and I don't  see the situation improving anytime soon.  Lynn win by the odd goal.

With Banbury facing leaky Boston, Lynn need a win tomorrow, although I think a very tight game and hopefully 1-0 to us and a nice game at Telford Saturday, where last time we ran out 1-3 winners thanks to Mazza, Gashy and Alfie Payneand a good following.  :scarf: up the home and travelling linnets

From Club site:

BRACKLEY TOWN (H): THE PREVIEW

It’s two games in quick succession at The Walks and the start of the season’s first double-game week, and Lynn will look to come out strong once the weeks finished, first up is the home tie under the lights against Brackley Town who sit 11th in the table.

Lynn go into the game with 2 wins out of 2 after seeing off Blyth Spartans 2-0 on Saturday in very hot conditions. Tommy Widdrington said after the match that Lynn “we’re out of a walk and into a jog” after starting the season strong, with the Linnets faithful looking to be in high spirits again during the game.

Brackley Town come into the game with a win and a loss under their belt after losing 2-0 at the weekend to Chester FC, after an opening day 2-0 victory against new boys Scarborough. Brackley will want to turn their fortunes around against Lynn and get another win under their belt in what promises to be a great game.

 Team News

Brackley: Brackley look set to bring a strong side to The Walks after coming through the weekend unscathed, they will have new signing Jovon Makama available, the striker is on a season-long loan from League 1 side Lincoln City.

Lynn: Defender Aaron Jones came off at halftime during the weekend with Widdrington saying he felt “Dizzy”, and was taken off as a precaution, will be assessed ahead of the game on Tuesday night. Kyle Callan-Mcfadden is inching ever so close to making his long-awaited comeback after his injury spell. Other than that manager Tommy Widdrington will have a full-strength side to choose from.

Form Guide

Brackley: L (2-0 vs Chester), W (2-0 vs Scarborough)

Lynn: W (2-0 vs Blyth Spartans), W (1-0 vs Bradford Park Avenue)

Persisting down, just seen a Post that said game off. Not sure if legit but wouldn't be surprised.

How’s the weather in Lynn ?

Lots and lots of rain just outside of town. Presumably it's similar in Walks area.

After all the extremely  hot weather and lack of rain in recent weeks, if the current storm continues.................................  :dontknow:

I've just read the post Mick. It's just one supporters opinion.

Personally I think there's a chance it could be called off but everyone is just guessing until the officials and Club have assessed the situation.
