...He has no Supporters group currently active raising much needed funds. According to his programme notes £5k has gone ‘missing’ from the FOTL that was earmarked for the Club. ( ok whose got it, own up  :countingmoney:)

Haven't read the programme notes yet but in terms of the FotL, it was just waiting for Barry F to do the final draw at yesterdays game (as promised at the EGM) and then final winning cheques could be written and then funds could be allocated as per the EGM in conjunction with discussions with the club

No money has 'gone missing' from the FOTL,there were two accounts, money was moved into one account,as people have already said discussions will be had on what to spend the final amount on.

As to starting a supporters club I believe that is something that should be led by supporters and separate from the club. Ideally organised and run by people who have no connection to the FOTL,trust or the club, totally independent. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Simple answer for SC there with regard to the £5K.  As for the Supporters group SC was suggesting he was going to form one whilst giving people plenty of fund raising ideas
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

That would simply become FOTL in a new coat! Constitution was set out so that FOTL would benefit fans, the club and the community, can't recall much done for fans or community? :dontknow:

Griss, if you rule out the people who are currently involved in the (running) of the FOTL, Trust, Club then I think it will struggle to get off the ground.

When it comes to rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in, I would doubt there’s  enough people around that would be interested in running it if these people are taken out of the equation.

Maybe he’s wondering if there’s still some money left in the other account and not all of it was moved to main account.

Strange comment for him to make if not as I’m sure he would have been told where it is.

So be it,if nobody wants it then it won't happen, all of those people who don't like the Trust,FOTL or the way the club runs things now have their chance to do it their way? :dontknow:

All he had to do was ask the treasurer? :dontknow:

Yep, although I would have thought the Treasurer would have kept him informed anyway.

The main point is the Chairman hasn’t got to worry as his £5k worth of ground maintenance is safe and on its way.

Move along nothing to see here.

As for SC forming the next Supporters group I would think he has the people there to turn to.  People who volunteered to help out the club during Covid to keep things running.

In a lot of ways I have sympathy with SC.   Look at the current situation.

He is running a club that is pulling in what 800/900 average per home game. He needs more to make it viable.

Currently has no commercial department to speak of as the last person had to walk away through ill health.

He has no Supporters group currently active raising much needed funds. According to his programme notes £5k has gone ‘missing’ from the FOTL that was earmarked for the Club. ( ok whose got it, own up  :countingmoney:)

Again in the programme notes he wants local business to get onboard with the Club. I know of a good few Lynn firms who are sponsoring other clubs ( in various forms) in the region.
Why ?

He has a full time squad to pay for plus backroom staff, plus overnight stays now for most away games.

Honestly who would want to own a Football Club at this level, let alone moving back up to the next level.
From what i have been told the money has not gone missing but it will NOT be handed directly to SC to do as he wishes but will be for the benefit of the club as was always the aim. I would suggest a substantial shelter for those that require seating or wheelchair viewing possibly back where it was for many years previously. That way there would be no issue with segregation at the Tennyson Road end.

Totally agree with this Gordon.
I dod suggest the exact same thing.

Is it a fact that's what's been happening? If so, how long has that been going on? Was it also happening during Busters time here?    :dontknow:
