AFC Telford away
« on: August 18, 2022, 08:07:28 AM »
Games come thick and fast.  Back on the Road Saturday.   Will TW go with the side that started Tuesday night or bring in Barrett and hope to get 60 mins out of him.  I guess it will depend on if he fancies going with a flat back 4, away from home.

Can see us sneaking this 2-1 to keep the 100% record intact.  Hopefully we are injury free.

AFC TELFORD (A): THE PREVIEW

August 19, 2022. 12:53 pm
Lynn are back on the road for the second time this season as they head west, to face AFC Telford after Tuesday night’s 2-1 comeback victory at The Walks. Telford will be looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Kettering on Tuesday.

Lynn will be looking to put in another positive performance after coming from a goal down against a stubborn Brackley side on Tuesday night, thanks to goals from striker Gold Omotayo, including a 90th minute winner

Telford have an even record 3 games into the season with a win, draw and lose under their belts. The Bucks will be looking to get back to winning ways in front of a home crowd at The New Bucks Head.

Team News

Telford: Telford have no new injuries within the squad and will look to field their strongest side against Lynn on Saturday afternoon.

Lynn: Lynn have no new injuries after manager Tommy Widdrignton confirmed in his press conference that striker Ken Charles has returned to full training whilst defender Kyle Callan-McFadden has returned to light training.

Form Guide

Telford: L ( 2-0 vs Kettering), D ( 1-1 vs Spennymoor Town), W ( 1-0 vs Chorley)

Lynn: W ( 2-1 vs Brackley Town), W ( 2-0 vs Blyth Spartans), W ( 1-0 vs Bradford PA)

Seems some Buck fans didn't appreciate Ketterings pitch last week.

Also making comments about ours, even though they have only seen it on YouTube.

Apparently other  teams "raise their game" when they play them.

Providing there are no injuries, I would keep the same team that scarred v Brackley. Barrett needs to improve on his overall fitness before I would start him, so would leave him on the bench and bring on maybe during tge second half.
A draw would be ok, we are not going to win every game. Saying that, it’s a good plating surface which will help us and if we can dominate the midfield and ball possession, then there’s every chance of getting a win.
Good luck to the team for today.

Yeah, good luck boys on your trip to AFC Telford. A win would be fantastic but a draw would also be OK :scarf:

Another day, another win! :scarf:
Looks to be more about the team this season.
Went behind the other night,  but kept fighting, playing to their strengths.  Last season, they'd have lost that game.

Anyone know why Barrett isn’t there ?  It gives the opposition less to worry about if you don’t play your best players.

Barrett is overweight and too lazy to make an effort to shape up. I wouldn’t say he is one of our better players and we didn’t need him today. He isn’t going to get into the starting line up anytime soon
