Leamington

Would think we will go with the same team again. Any thought on if Barrett should figure, personally I would say no. With another game just two days later, then maybe tweak it then. Firstly, we need to put out our best team to try and beat Leamington. I think we will get a win, prediction is 3-0.

Anyone heard what the story is behind Barrett being ‘unavailable’ last Saturday ?    No mention of it on TW’s interview post Telford.

As for Saturday maybe some game management will be the order of the day with two games in 48 hours.   Could be suggested P’Boro away on Monday maybe the tougher task.

What will be very interesting is the crowd Saturday.   Coming back to The Walks after winning all 4 opening games, Bank Holiday weekend.  If we can’t get 1200 then SC must wonder what he has to do to get people in.

3-1 home win for me
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

IMO the crowd will be  about 900 as its a bank holiday weekend  and the last week before the schools go back so several on holiday. also people are starting to struggle to find the cash for Luxuries like football  i certainly am,  so i only pick the games i want to see so i can afford to save up.  for lots of people when the crunch hits with the
increase in electricity  i think attendances will fall even further. i wonder how much the floodlights will cost to run for an evening game

Think you are there or thereabouts on the prospective crowd and agree totally with your reasoning, not too much the club can do now the season has started other than hope that fan's loyalty means they will prioritise football over other things when it comes to allocating any disposable income they feel they have available,

Mr Cleeve would do well to take a look at Telford's admission prices ( Adult £16 Concessions £12 Youth 12-18 £5 Under 12's Free.  The problem with Lynn is the pricing for Concessions and children.  Cleeve has overpriced admission for those groups and once you lose them it's hard to get them back.  Unfortunately he won't change the prices as it will further erode the value for season ticket holders which are awful value in the first place.

I noticed this too and thought the same. You need to get youngsters interested, so promote it better. Get the players to visit local schools, chatting with the children. Give out free child admission tickets with a paying adult. Have kids competitions to win a signed replica shirt of their choice, promote the football club as much as possible.
Do away with the seating charge, you shouldn’t have to pay extra to sit. How any of the seating can be called premium is nonsense. To be honest, the whole stadium is outdated, just look at Telford for example, a superb playing surface too. A brand new ground is probably too much to wish for, but other clubs manage it, Boston Utd, York City for example.
The attendances will increase if we are winning, but we need to be promoting the club as much as possible.

Our general admission price is not to far off other clubs, but I would go with under 12s free and scrap the seating charge.or maybe a minimum for the premium area? :dontknow: :scarf:

Is there anything at Lynn that is lower in price than other clubs at this level?  :dontknow:

I would certainly let under 12s in for free if accompanied by in adult and promote it round the local schools. These kids will hopefully be Linnets supporters in the future which surely is what the club needs to safeguard it's own future. Otherwise you ll continue to see them walking around the town centre in their Man Utd / city /Liverpool / etc shirts .
If you can get the kids hooked on the local match day experience you will likely keep a high percentage going forward .

Yes, absolutely. Get youngsters in for free, get them into the habit. My father started taking me in the late 60’s, I’m now eligible (just) for a concession rate. People used to ask me ‘what team do you support’, I would say King’s Lynn. One of the reasons we don’t get better attendances, is because too many people wish to be associated with the likes of Liverpool etc. So that’s why the club needs to encourage the youngsters, to support THEIR TEAM, and be proud of it. We won’t always have success, but it’s not just about that.
Tommy and the team are doing all they can on the pitch, there needs to be more done off the pitch. Like I said, get the players to go to local schools and introduce themselves to the children and light a spark with them.

John H,  I think your idea about the players going to the schools is a fantastic idea
