Up coming games.

The EFL has paid tribute to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, who died this afternoon aged 96, and say discussions will take place with the Government and other sporting authorities regarding the weekend fixtures.

In a statement, Rick Parry, chair of the EFL, said: “Today, the EFL was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty, The Queen Elizabeth II.

I see tomorrow’s Test match is off.  I can see all
Of the weekend sporting fixtures being called off as a Mark of respect
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Difficult to say. When George VI died on 6th February 1952 football went ahead the following Saturday.

If they are allowed to call off by their governing  body, I think a lot of Sports Clubs will want to postpone fixtures.

From The Norwich Paper:

A statement released this evening by the league said that 'an appropriate announcement will be made at at the earliest opportunity.'
It's possible that all matches will be postponed as the country mourns the death of its longest-reigning monarch.

The League can confirm that further to the announcement that the funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be held on Monday 19 September, National League fixtures for week commencing Monday 12 September will go ahead as scheduled.
