Linnets held to a draw
« on: September 24, 2022, 04:54:13 PM »
League leaders held to a 1-1 draw away at Curzon, after coming back from a goal behind.

Still unbeaten this season.

Still clear at the top.

Not a bad result, away from home.
Had a few chances but their keeper had a good game.

Not a bad result on the road.  Will Tommy reflect on it as 1 gained or 2 dropped?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Definitely a point gained. He will say it’s one more than we had before kick off. It’s highly unlikely that we will go all season without losing a league game, but 9 games in and unbeaten is very respectable. Full credit to Tommy and all the team.
We have scored in every game too. If I had one concern it would be, will our forwards score enough. We are fortunate that our midfielders are scoring and hopefully that will continue to be the case.
Great away point today and clear at the top, so a nice journey home for the team. It shows the quality of the side and Tommy’s management skills that we are doing so well.

Just listened to the Curzon Managers after match interview.  Very complimentary about the Lynn side.  Best team they have played and very happy to come out of the game with a draw.   Keeper Rendshaw was Man of the Match.

Also listened to Lee Glover,  Kettering Manager, talking about yesterday’s game and the Tuesday night game coming v Lynn.  Lots of problems over there it seems.  Maybe a good time to be playing them.

Oh and where is the TW after match interview,  or isn’t there one ?

Yes, Club Mediia team should banging that drum and promoting the hell out of that! Not just for more people through the gate but also new advertisers.

The biggest selling point the Club has at the moment.
