Kettering Tuesday

One you would like to think we will win.

Not a lot coming from the Club again.

Anyone know why Mcfadden was not in Squad last Saturday, or know what the situation is with Denton?

Listening to Glover, Kettering Manager. He is having to play injured players but hoping to get a couple in for Tuesday.  He also was also saying the budget he was working with had been been reduced so has limited options.   Sounds a club very much in turmoil.

Least they get an after match interview.  We get sod all.  How can that be right when we have a guy being paid to carry out media duties.  Have to say it seems that SC is having the pee taken out of him on this.

Who will be fit and available for Tuesday?  Who knows?

Given the (lack of) information coming out of the club, all you can really predict is that we should line up 3-5-2, although who the back three is probably just perming 3 from 5 depending on the fitness of Denton and/or McFadden, Saturday proving again that looks our best formation with another useful point.  Thankfully we have five options at centreback, with Fleming having already stepped in a couple of times from the start as well as Saturday's appearance off the bench, I am still concerned that we don't appear to have the same level of cover for the three lads in the middle of midfield, maybe Saturday could be the chance to Keller or Knowles to get some minutes in there?

Hopefully we can return to winning ways tomorrow night and there is a decent following for a relatively local game

Must say Tony whenever Fleming has been on the field he has never let us down.  Also think Crowther has been the find of the season and think he will get better and better.   Can see him playing at a higher standard.

Agree with you on the midfield 3.  Real grafters in there but asking a lot of them to go Saturday Tuesday Saturday. Barrett offers something different but with him starting it does change the dynamics of the team.

Maybe with a decent cup run the money can be found to bring in an extra midfield player to lighten the load.  Think Tommy is asking a lot of the midfield 3.

Agree that Crowther looks a find and certainly helps playing alongside Coulson, still needs to work on when he has the ball but great addition as a 'stopper' and still young enough to improve.  As for bringing in an extra player, I think we might need to shift one or two before then, maybe look at the loan market for end of October / start of November when games come thick and fast?  Not sure Barrett is an option for the starting lineup, just means the remaining two alongside him have to do 50% more work.

The most recent news on the Clubs official website:

 :dontknow:

Real shame that SC can't find the right people for what is a vital area of the club, TW can't do much more but unless 'the club' are  capable of getting that message out there it's likely that SC will continue to be disappointed with attendances

It’s quite disappointing Tony.  Everyone wants to see the Walks buzzing with crowds getting North of a 1,000 every home game.  TW is doing his job and is certainly not as ‘Camera shy’ as IC was.

The ingredients are all there but SC is being badly let down.

Exactly.

You would think SC would be aware of how this works, so the question is, what's going on?   :dontknow:

£15 adults £10 concessions at Kettering. This is reasonable, our prices are not

Mike, I wouldn't disagree that Kettering's prices are more reasonable for this level, I guess SC might point to both the comparative average attendances (630 vs 834) and league positions (22nd vs 1st) to question which club has 'got it right'

We are a full time so the costs maybe reflect that. £15 to watch a struggling team as Kettering or £17 to watch top of the table Lynn ?

Anyway onto tonight’s game.   Kings Lynn 3-1 win to maintain our no1 position.
