Lynn lose on the road
« on: September 27, 2022, 09:43:10 PM »
A converted penalty for Kettering ends Lynn's unbeaten run, as they go down 1-0 at Latimer Park,

Elsewhere, Scarborough lose and Banbury draw.

Normal service resumed from the kings Lynn forward line it would appear.
Looks like the bubble burst a bit now one point from last two league games and can't beat Bedford at home
Why does the manager leave it so late to make changes? It must be fairly obvious to most than Gold and Co couldn't score down Norfolk street on a Saturday night with a twenty pound note taped up their forehead

I assume youíve not been since 2020? Did you think we were going to go unbeatable all season? 21 points from 10 games is not good enough? Weíve won in the last minutes because of the managers changes more than once. Just carry on moaning about the price at the bar because you clearly donít understand the football side of things.

I went last night, and I'm afraid to say I don't think Gold could score in a brothel,he started the season well and was worthy of praise, but he done nothing of note last night! We were poor, they were poor, the ref and the pitch were poor, wish I had gone to the pub instead! :dontknow:
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

Good morning Kingsofdion
Hope you get chance to read this before you go to school
Couple of points been watching league and non league football since 1964 so think I know a productive forward line when I see one.
Dont really understand your 2020 comment and i don't drink or moan about the beer prices in club bar.
You are correct the club started well this season but if you bothered to read my earlier comment you will have noticed I was talking about recent performances .
As for the forward line as others have also commented the current line up isn't delivering the goods lately so the manager needs to address this.
Anyway have a nice day and keep up the happy clapping

One defeat wonít define the season.    A bad night at the office etc.
The unbeaten record was going to go at some point, however not many will have thought this was a game on paper we should have won and walked right through Kettering.

Maybe it was just a game too far for Tommyís Boys.  He has used the same players since the start of the season with very little rotation.

Saturday should be the chance to get back on another unbeaten run.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what itís all about ?

No over reaction from TW and decisions tend to even themselves out over the course of a season (although SC wouldn't necessarily agree and was back to calling the ref out on Twitter again at the weekend).  As KoD said, 21 points from 10 games isn't anything to be disappointed with and whilst there may be debate over individual changes that could be made Tommy deserves praise for getting a formation and starting XI that has got us off to a great start but with eight players having started all ten league games we have also benefited from being relatively injury and suspension free.

Hopefully we can put things right at the weekend but possibly more incentive for TW to play that first XI again rather than giving one or two a break.

Soft penalty that.  Could give a pen every time there is corner with little incidents like that.

However this was in free play.  Fleming grabs a piece of shirt which then forces the ref to make a decision.   Itís one of those you get as a home team.

The lad has shown a bit of inexperience there and itís cost us dearly with us firing blanks at the other end.

You are more than lucky if you go through a season without at least one game like this. The lads will bounce back, hopefully on Saturday. TW will sort it out, i for one didnt expect a season with no points in a game. Remember when Norwich beat Man City, a year or three ago.

Unfortunately, a penalty all day long. If it had been at the other end and not given, I'd put money on it that Tommy would have had a few words to say about it.

Revenge will be sweet this coming Saturday.

Haven't seen SC moan about the refs positioning (which was good) on this one and can't really see what the Lynn complaints were about, grabbed a handful of shirt which really leaves the ref no option, he tried to play the advantage and if the lad scores maybe Fleming would have stayed on the pitch but having then given the penalty he has to go.  I am sure others made mistakes during the game so can't blame Fleming for the loss, as TW said we had chances to be ahead before their penalty and didn't take them.

Tony I think the arguments were about the ref seeming to play advantage and then when there wasn't any, giving the penalty
This is not rugby , you can't do that in football

Linnet I think you will find itís a common practise  for a ref to wait a few seconds to see if a team can gain from an advantage before pulling play back and awarding a free kick When no advantage is forthcoming

Straight from the FA

ADVANTAGE
allows play to continue when an offence occurs and the non-offending team will benefit from the advantage and penalises the offence if the anticipated advantage does not ensue at that time or within a few seconds
