And a penalty as well as sending a player off Is that covered too?
When there were 4 defenders and he couldn't be classed as the last man

Linnet I think you will find it’s a common practise  for a ref to wait a few seconds to see if a team can gain from an advantage before pulling play back and awarding a free kick When no advantage is forthcoming

Straight from the FA

ADVANTAGE
allows play to continue when an offence occurs and the non-offending team will benefit from the advantage and penalises the offence if the anticipated advantage does not ensue at that time or within a few seconds

I agree.
Nailed on penalty.

Of course it's common practice. Nothing unusual about it.

Think Tommy was probably feeling a bit raw after the game and looking to apportion the blame toward the ref.   In the cold light of day he might well look back and just see they had an off night up top and got done by pen.

Sometimes you just have to take things on the chin and move on.  He knows his team is far from the finished article.

Interesting that Boston are now 3 points outside the play offs.  I for one wouldn’t bet against them being up there in the thick of the action come next May
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Cully will do what he did at Lynn and christmas and the new year won't be like the last time we played Boston
