The little matter of Darlo at home
« on: October 20, 2022, 09:29:08 AM »
Amongst all this FA Cup fever we have the little matter of 1st v 2nd at The Walks in a little over 48 hours.

Darlington under  Alan Armstrong are making a strong push for promotion this season.   So let’s hope for a big crowd and the right result for Lynn.   I do wonder what formation/line up TW will go with.  Seems now we have more than one string to our bow.   I have a feeling he will go for the very attack minded line up that will include Barrett, Stephens and Pot-a-Jelly.

2-2 in front of 2k for me

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Would be good to see kids for a quid again.
Doesn't affect me, but I think it could make a big improvement to attendance.
Worth a try.

I hope TW doesn't change the way we play because of the opposition.
Play to win, as normal.
2-1 Lynn.

A 1000 people Wing for a top
Of the table Clash?  If that’s all a game of that standing can pull in then the game is up.

1700 for a Cup game against a Step 3 side has got to equate to a decent gate for this one. Not sure how many Darlo will bring but surely has to be at least 400.  It’s a big game for them as well

I'd be shocked if we bring 400, we've just had 2 away games in 3 and then we've got you & Buxton away in 4 days. I'd be happy with 200 making the trip.

There's 6 of us on the 8am train out of Darlo.

Where's good to go for a drink etc? Last time we just drank in that pub next to the station.

Can we pay cash at turnstiles or is it just online tickets? Cheers

mallard  IMO  i think people cant afford it  hence why i said a 1000 i certainly cant -  a 100 mile round trip parking and  2 tickets  is the bare minimum for me thats without food. i am sure i am not the only person in that boat especially as the cost of living is going up. Time will tell especially in December and january  with peoples heating on more  and christmas

Cash or card on the gate.
Or the ticket office next to it should I say!

Mallard, I think 2000 would be very nice, but that’s wishful thinking. Like the Darlo fan said, maybe 200 away fans, it is a long old trip. The FA cup game attracted more, some of which will hopefully attend. My estimate is 1300 - 1400. Should be a good game, score prediction is 1-0, but could go either way, hopefully ours.

The fa cup game was only a tenner though, and a quid for kids. Like others have said,he should keep the kids for a quid. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

I wouldn't disagree with that.
