Just to echo everyone elses comments, fantastic day out and absolutely the right result on the day and the margin could and probably should have been more based on the balance of play.  Just a quick shout out for the Doncaster staff and stewards who helped make the day, from the pre-match information, through to welcoming us to their ground with a smile and then managing the 'enthusiastic' crowd with a degree of level headedness that many other clubs could do well to learn from.

Thanks original post amended, although I am sure the Darlington staff will be just as welcoming :)

Griddles - I think that’s why we’re doing so well - it’s because it’s NOT the same team that lost to Kettering.  It’s basically the team that thrashed Kettering a fortnight later.  Great win.  Donny supporters said that they selected dozens of defenders and only one forward - thankfully we’ve stopped doing that!  Fingers crossed for Monday’s draw….

The first 10 minutes set the tone, I think the Doncaster players and fans weren’t expecting the quality from us. Doncaster didn’t have a single shot on goal in the first half, we could have quite easily gone in 3 up at half time. We should have had a penalty for deliberate hand ball to deny a goal and had it have been giving, their player would have been sent off.
The stats were 14 shots to 5 in our favour, that tells you the dominance we had. Their fans are saying they were poor, but that was because we made them look poor. The performance from Lynn was the best I have seen away from home for some time, if not the best. Doncaster never looked like scoring. Omotayo’s headed goal was no more than we deserved and sent the Lynn fans wild. The new signing OC has a very long throw, as good as a corner. He very nearly made it 2 nil with a shot that went inches wide.
The atmosphere was amazing, if we get an away draw in Round 2, the club and fans need to fill more than 1 coach, although there was an unofficial coach that went yesterday too.
I know people have their favourite players and formations, but Tommy is the one who makes the decisions and he got it spot on yesterday. What a day, so proud.

£67,000 up for grabs on next round. A beatable club at home, then a biggie away to swell the coffers.  What a difference a year makes. Well done everyone at KLFC.

Certainly a big pay day for the 2nd Round winners. Doncaster thought they had a beatable team at home yesterday, so even if we get a home draw, let’s not get carried away. However, it would be something to get to the 3rd Round, and get Everton away again, that was 1962.
But guess you’re hoping for Alvechurch at home in Round 2 Nigel. Did you go yesterday?

I was unable to go yesterday but was at the Everton match as a 17 year old. Memories!!

No John, i'm 100+ miles south of Lynn, and dont finish work til 2 on a Saturday. From a club finance point of view, get some team we can beat for £67000 then West Ham or Chelsea away, and i might have a chance of attending if the trains decide to run.

Nigel, I guess it’s a possibility we could get picked for a TV game in the next round, at least then you could see it. My friend is from Tottenham and ab ardent Spurs fan, I said to her, one more win and Lynn could get Spurs.

Apparently, the Club will be on Look East tonight.
