It is Rod when you consider Tommy is more than happy to engage with the fans through a twice weekly interviews.  Well I say twice but it’s hard for him to do a post match interview on away games when there is no one there from the Clubs media team.

I can't see the Clubs Media team having to work too hard for their money this week, as I'm sure the likes of Look East and About Anglia will be knocking the clubs door down for a story, without even needing to be invited.

Milly tweeted earlier that he's not being allowed in the Press Box on Saturday as he's being replaced by what he calls a "one game wonder". Guess that must be one of the big National Papers wanting a seat.

Mixed feelings on this one. National coverage for the Club is not to be sniffed at, but equally to relegate someone from the Press Box that represents one of our local publications (and a local business), and is reporting from the games and raising the profile of the Club week in week out, seems a bit harsh.

Apparently this is a Media Team decision, not one made by the Chairman.  :dontknow:

Surely if Milly is being ousted from the press box a seat in the Directors box will be offered to allow him to carry out his duties ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

See somebody is clearly lying to me then, As I was told yesterday its a decision made by Mr Cleeve and nothing to do with the so called club media, But still I'm not surprised to be honest, Always quick to oust those that give the club coverage. Just short of 1,000 miles covered this month to give coverage and publicity. But its all good for the one game wonders to come and take peoples places. Shame we didn't see them at Scarborough and Southport, would of saved me a job!

In fairness Milly that press box is really not fit for purpose, in terms of size.

I guess if one of the National’s comes a’ allying then space has to be found and as YLP is the minor publication of the 3 locals that cover The Linnets then that’s who has to give up their place.

Should be good nationwide publicity for the Club if it’s the Mirror or the Sun.

Having said all of that Hopefully the Club has still
Found the Milster a seat.

If we win Saturday and draw a biggie at home all the locals could be ousted for one game.

Why should the EDP and Lynn News take preference? They dont bother going to any away game unless it's a big FA cup match or just down the road. Who will be covering Farsley away on a tuesday night in December? If I was the YLP I would give it a miss and let the reporter enjoy the game with the rest of the die hards.

Good plan 856.  Be interesting to judge the number of complaints to YLP about lack of coverage.

Who exactly are this media team we all keep hearing about? They also never attend away games but just keep retweeting or making it up as they go along. Scarborough away was a prime example of those not in attendance not having a clue what was happening, but reported on it regardless. Goldie clearly scored the 3rd goal but certain members of the media continued to tell those at home that the Ox had scored. Off the pitch we continue to frustrate.

You sure the YLP is the minor out of the 3?

Well, it's not the Mirror.

If I was the YLP I would give it a miss and let the reporter enjoy the game with the rest of the die hards.

People will tell you that the effort that goes into reporting can sometimes mean you lose some of the enjoyment of watching the game. If Milly did choose to do this so he can better enjoy the game, then fair enough.

If its just to prove a point to the Club, I think it would be a pointless exercise. I really can't see them being too bothered about the YLP not reporting from the game.

Not ideal, but supporters that wanted live updates will still be able to obtain them elsewhere if it was that important to them.

So has the Club found a seat for Milly in the Press Box ?  Or indeed a seat anywhere.    Just a thought why can’t Milly have his normal seat and the press guy from the National be given another position in the stand.

Looking at SC’s Twitter there are still seats available in the middle section

Because the Club wants the Sun to shine in the Press Box.
