Health and Safety.

Apparently we will be needing a new Health and Safety Officer in the next couple of weeks.

A very important job these days, so hopefully there will be plenty of applicants.

It’s coming up to the season of ElF n Safety.  Ok I’ll get me coat  :laughcry:

Surely we have the ideal person to fill the gap.  Mark Hearle.  He did the job previously
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Need an IOSH or NEBOSH cert, even my former role as Airside & Operation Safety Manager at Stansted Airport for BAA wouldn't meet the requirements as too niche

I used to be a H/S officer in the 80s. I wouldnt touch the football club with a barge pole.

I'm led to believe that another previous, but more recent H&S officer is of the same opinion.

It's a very important postion that holds a lot of personal responsibility for the person doing the job. It should probably be a salaried position, so as to attract a suitably qualified and professional individual and with the experience to realise what they could potentially be getting themselves into.

The media department still doesn't appear to be working as intended, despite the money the Chairman is apparently dedicating to this area. To balance the books, it could be a good idea to divert money from one area to another.
