Penalties decide tie.

A 14th minute goal by Charles is cancelled out by a Hemel Hempstead goal deep into injury time.

Game decided on penalties which saw HH come out on top 5-4 and go into the hat for the next round.

Disappointing but maybe a blessing in the context of the whole season?  We need to focus on the League and too many cup games might lead to further injuries and fixture congestion.

The least important of the competitions’s we are in.  Just think a nice victory would have set up, confidence wise for next Saturday.

Decent crowd for a Trophy game even at a tenner.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Had we been mid-table and out of the FA Cup the FA Trophy may have been mildly important, but with plenty of strikes on the woodwork it just wasn't to be thankfully. Did we really want to be even more games in hand? I say not, but hopefully will beat Stevenage to enjoy some January limelight and swell the coffers and then to concentrate on the league and promotion :scarf: :scarf:

With Buxton being knocked out of the trophy today as well hopefully our rearranged home game with them can be brought forward to a Saturday.

Disappointing, can’t win ‘em all, frees us for the league.  I think the team is good enough to win it.  Nice to see Charles can add to the goal power….
