I would suggest that money was spent on the futile aim of trying to keep the Club in the National League when Culverhouse left and Widdrington came in.  Why we didn’t do a ‘Dover’  and take what was coming and doing it the cheapest way I really don’t understand.

Then again the Chairman knows best.
Hindsight as they say…… I think SC saw that as a backward step possible and also genuinely believed with the new manager (TW), that we could stay up.
We are currently in a good position to hopefully regain National League status. If we do that, we would need to strengthen our team I guess to be competitive. I don’t think we are too far off, but not quite at the standard we would require.
Every league game is massive now, if we want to win the league and avoid the play offs.

Steve Evans, pre match said he considered us to be a top 10 National League standard.   Truth or was he just blowing smoke up Tommy’s derrière?

On the subject of monies what is the latest of the £5k that the Friends are sitting on ? What have they decide to spend it on or have I missed something ?

Maybe Malc or Tony could give us an update on the latest
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Surely the decision to continue to play on was taken a long time before Tommy came on the scene and when IC was still in charge.  :dontknow:

Or am I getting my seasons mixed up.   :dontknow:

If you bought a friend on Saturday, who doesn't normally come, encourage them to come again!
If you work with someone who came Saturday, encourage them to come again!

A lot of bridges have built of late with good form and the cup run. As fans we can sell it to our friends, that coming to the Walks is money well spent regards entertainment.

The club must embrace the moment, never has there been a time in recent history for bridges to be built between the club and those who choose not to attend.

Did anyone see the Parkrun effort? Brilliant. Guess what a lot of those became interested and attended on Saturday or watched on TV! Its all about profile.

I would suggest just slagging off the occasional fan for only coming to the "big games" is a big mistake. Keep them on board!

Don't forget, we are at home every Saturday up to Xmas. Its a big pull on peoples pockets leading up to Xmas. If you can get the floating fan to a couple of games you've done well.

Onwards and upwards.
