Not all bad news today
« on: November 26, 2022, 05:23:17 PM »
:oldman" :farmer: We lose in the FA Cup, but we also drop to 3rd in National league north, however Brackley drop 2 points today and now lead us by 3, having played 3 games more, Darlington hot on there heels but also having played 3 games more than us.
We now need to get back to winning ways again, make the Walks a fortress again and keep picking up the points on the road, I see no reason we can’t win this league, but we have now lost twice at home in a week, yes I realise not league matches and class of opponents etc, but a defeat is a defeat, and as I said we need to get back to winning ways quickly. Also keeping an eye over our shoulders as AFC Fylde, are only a couple of point’s behind us.

Finally well done to all involved today, ultimately we were not good enough, but we gave it a good go.  :oldman" :farmer:

Good post Dazza.  Next Saturday at home to Hereford is now a huge game.  Let’s hope some of the big crowd of today decide to give it another look next week

With a few injures starting to bite into the squad will SC give Tommy a few quid to bring in a couple of extra bodies ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

It's not unusual for Managers being rewarded with an increase to playing budget after a decent Cup run.

Couple of interesting comments from the two main men today.

Tommy saying that him and some of his players are better than the level we are currently at, and Cleeve saying he's making sure the lights stay on.
First they fascinate the fools, then they attempt to gag the intelligent.

A bit naughty if a Manager is letting people know he's maybe available on National TV.  Think Tommy needs to knock this on the head ASAP

I think he was insinuating he,with this team, should be playing higher.

Rod said earlier what about the loan bit concerning   Joe Taylor to have the chance to give some first-team games him as  a loan after all we owe that to the lad WHO Ian CULVERHOUSE ignored just after one game; perhaps one day he might be playing for Wales world cup side

For a loan arrangement to happen all three parties have to on the same page.
