We certainly do need bigger gates at this and particularly the next level if we get there.  I’ve wanted another forward (inside forward type nipster who also scores goals) for a year at least.  But I think we’re OK if TW can’t get one.  We struggled yesterday until we got going because, imho, TW reverted to a safety-first line-up.  We seldom do well when he does that.  We have enough with Charles and Walker to put one alongside Gold, and drop Josh back into a 4 or 5 man midfield. Don’t like 5 defenders and a keeper so 6 defenders!  We can then hardly get up their end, so we’re the team under pressure.  Rant over.  Well played England - now we face the nippiest nipster since Messi!

The stevenage game was a one off.
Everyone was talking about it, the biggest game for years, not many would have not realised the ko time.  With so much football on telly,  the world Cup, and the match not getting anywhere near the build up there was for stevenage one, people could have overlooked the ko time.
I know of some that did.

Was the any build up to the game? :dontknow:
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

Granted, it was a ‘one off’ game. The problem is though, two thirds and more ‘Lynn fans’ weren’t interested enough to attend a league game a week later. That is something that the club (PR) need to work on. Irrespective to kick off time, under 1000 fans was disappointing, didn’t expect anywhere near what we got for Stevenage, but 1400 + should have been achievable. As for not knowing the kick off time v Hereford, well unfortunate, but it was made known some tome ago and on the website. I’m guessing though, it wasn’t a significant number though.
Anyway, I hope the attendances improve. Last week, someone told me how much one of the players (name was given) is on a week. I doubt they’re all on that, but you start to get an idea of the team wages and our current average attendance, wouldn’t make that sustainable.
Last season, we were getting outnumbered by away supporters. Tommy often says the Lynn fans are great and yes, we are, there just isn’t enough of us.

So.......spill the beans!!
I'm not bothered who the player is, but I am intrigued with the wage "one" of the players is on??

Surely it's been like that most of the time (if not all) that the current Chairman has owned the Club. The business model has always appeared to be that he funds the club.  :dontknow:

Yes apart from the £500k loan he took out in an attempt to stay in the NL.

There have been so many false Dawn’s in terms of Commercial enterprise within the Club.  None of which has proved successful.    Wrong people ?  Lack of interest in the local business community ?  Chairman’s background ?

Maybe the concerts to be staged next year will be the thing that can fill the void ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

The Stevenage game was quite rightly hyped and hyped again.
The game v Hereford had little or no promotion.
The 3K floating fans probably had no idea we were at home!
Unless its engrained on your brain, like the 800, unless its sold to you, you wont know if there is a game at home, let alone its a 12.30 KO
Following the hype was massive opportunity to get the crowds rolling, yet there was nothing in the way of promotion following up on the opportunity presented. Even more promo was needed as we had world cup competition.
12.30 ko was unavoidable, many may of struggled to get home from work in time. Many work Saturday mornings these days.
We are home 6 weeks on the bounce pre Xmas . Those who feeling the financial pinch, especially those with kids, may be picking and choosing games.
The world cup is on. Those who just want a footy fix had two games to choose live on TV.

Potentially the crowd will be lower this Saturday in my opinion, we are going directly up against a world cup game and with England playing in the evening. Not everyone can do everything

Free admission for under 12's might be worth looking at.
Would make a big difference to any families considering attending.

Sorry to seem like I am picking on you Dilly as you have explained your reasons for non-attendance but given that I assume you have only seen one game (Stevenage being on the BBC) this season you really aren't in any position to post comments like "We seldom do well when he does that" - the formation, unfortunately not the personnel, was the same as the home game with Darlington and away at Doncaster, probably our two toughest matches on paper this season when we completely dominated the games

Not picking on you either, TontM, but it was no surprise to me that we struggled in the first half with 6 defenders (including the keeper), but dominated and won when he changed to an attacking line-up.  Dillification calculated that problem 2 hours before the Kick-Off!  That performance difference has occurred throughout the season, imho, and the two Kettering results were the best example of it.  Happy Xmas, and I mean it!!!

The National League will allow clubs to amend kick-off times on Saturday 10 December should both clubs agree.
