With Omotayo, Scott, Clunan, Hargreaves all unavailable and with Ponticelli only just getting back to full fitness it is surely unsurprising that we were not at our best?

Hargreaves is a massive miss.   For me he makes things tick.  What surprised me the most is already without Ponticelli then Gold being out we were going to be really lightweight up top.  So thought Tommy would have brought in a loaner to do a job up front for us.  Maybe he thought it was a bottom of the League side so we had enough to get away with it. Giving him more time to bring someone in.

Too many people expect us to win every game. We came away with a point and Darlington lost at home, so not too bad. I’m sure TW and SC both realise that a new forward would be of benefit, but finding one isn’t easy. We have got a really good squad with goals coming from all over. As TW says, if you don’t win, then try not to lose, so a point and a clean sheet away are both good.
I watched Boston v Gloucester yesterday and our football is much better. Boston’s attendance was 1316, not bad for a team struggling at the wrong end of the table.

I doubt that. I think it's fair to say that most managers will always be on the look out for players that will improve the squad, if they are allowed to. I really can't see Tommy being the type to play the waiting game. I can imagine him being one to be continually knocking on a Chairman's door.

A good point with everything taken into account I would say. Never an easy game up at Blyth and they are needing points just as much as we do. Winning home games and a point on the road usually has you well in the mix come the end of the season.
Never an easy task bringing a loan player into a club midway through a season. Think TW indicated in his pre match interview that the club were waiting for the final assessment of Gold's injury so this is why maybe they have kept their powder dry for the moment. Once a period of time for recovery has been established then maybe a new face. Another factor will be that club's at this time of the year are not always so keen to allow players out on loan as they themselves have injury concerns and packed fixture lists to contend with, just like we have. Let's await the full extent of Gold's injury and take it on from there.

Think you're right. It's OK for people to say win your home games and get a point away and you'll be in the mix (which may be true), but when you go away to the bottom teams you would expect a team in our position to put these teams to the sword.

Win your home games, away wins to bottom five or six teams, away draws to the remaining teams, THEN you know you'll be in the mix.

Won't do the team moral a lot of good if we become known for struggling against the bottom teams.
