Yes indeed Kevin. I have had a long chat with Jodie and she has the ideas and enthusiasm to get the Club out and noticed in the community.

It's up to us, the supporters, to give her all the help we can when there is an event at the Club by attending and showing that her efforts are appreciated.

After so many years of inertia it will be hard to get that weight moving but once it does we can look forward to having the Community Club we have lacked for far too many years.

It's been noticable.  The visits take time to plan and the general day to day stuff is like planting seeds. 

No idea what the current structure does with complimentary tickets,  but the first time I visited The Walks was because my two lads were given freebies by the then community scheme when they did after school classes.  That was about 17 yrs ago.

The community schemes naturally evolve and where quality volunteers come to the fore from experience elsewhere.  As long as their ideas are allowed to flourish and there's ppl to step in when key players in the scheme aren't available or around anymore,  then a decent community scheme in a town like King's Lynn could flourish for years.

Running annual schools competitions on match days is the key to sustainability.  Schedule something community related at every home game. Charity collections,  food bank donations,  doing 'meet the players'  for prize winners,   all the simple but constant little building blocks that bind a club and community together.

The football is easy, score more than them and you win.  But putting the club at the heart of the community is so much more than three points in a saturday or where you are in the league.

Blown away by the recent uplift in community engagement.  To me that is what a football club is all about.   The beating heart of a community where we can forget the troubles of life and have 90 minutes screaming and shouting and watching a decent game, win loose or draw, it's about the football and what it means rather than results IMHO

Giving a day out to the young carers last week raised a smile or two, I can say that much.  The linking up with the wider football community has been the natural winner so far but would like to hear more about the day to day match day community initiatives.

Charity of the day?  a little kick-a-bout for school groups,  5-a-side, pen shoot out,  that sort of stuff.  Real engagement with those not naturally aligned to the club

I have not met her but Jodie would seem to be highly motivated and is doing a brilliant job.  As Kevin has outlined so graphically, she will need sustained and consistent support, as developing KLTFC into an integral part of the community is a long term project but eminently achievable.

If only we had 'a Jodie' running the commercial arm of the club.
