AFC Telford at home
« on: February 14, 2023, 09:18:00 AM »
Has to be a home win no ifs no buts.  Spanked them 4-0 away so if we get an early goal could be anything.

Line-up

The Triplets
Crowther
Denton
Coulson (if fit, otherwise KM)
Clunan
Widderington
Barrett
Ponticelli
Gold.

I wonder if that line up is attack minded enough for the Dilster?

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Tonight and Saturday we are playing 2 teams that have conceded 105 goals between  them so with goal difference looking close with our rivals. Let's  have a good attacking line up and even a shoot onsight policy. At times we are  guilty of over playing.

I'll readily settle for six points from tonight and Saturday, with quite how we achieve that of secondary importance. Playing attacking, expansive football and the goals that might bring will be a bonus.

Goal difference could yet be crucial so we need to be ruthless as I’m sure TW will emphasise. I’d like us to start with two, if not three attackers and really go for it…but that’s not going to happen.

Similar line to Mallard, but would drop Widdrington and have Cosgrave in.Theo has gone off a little of late I feel. The league positions would suggest a win for us, but nothing is that straight forward. I would take a 1-0 win, but know where people are coming from with goal difference, given the fact we are playing the bottom team.

As far a Dilly being happy, he is very repetitive in how he feels we should line up, but have to say that if we don’t put out an attacking side tonight, we probably never will.

If we can dominate and create chances as we did against Chester, then we will surely win tonight. So, going to go for 3 - 0, crowd 850

Agree with your potential selection John. Let’s hope it happens…but I suspect not.

Wack...wouldn't it be nice to have our own commentary team. Little ol' Blyth Spartans manage it, why cant we. Alot of times we rely on the other team to supply it. Us who live miles away rely on this to keep us involved in the team and look forward to hearing "live from the Walks". Radio Norfolk is good when it happens. I do feel this is an area in which we are sadly lacking. I would even
Pay for a streaming service.

Doesn't have to be video, Blyth i believe do it through their mobile phone. Its not BBC standard but its better than nothing. Mixr is the app but not sure. It could be worse, Talksport, adverts interrupted by sport news or commentary.
