Lynn regain top spot after a fantastic 1-0 away win at Banbury.

Att: 643.

Flyde slip up at home against Hereford, losing 3-1.

Brackley lose at Boston.

Well…I did predict a 4-0 win for us but I’ll take the 1-0. Why, though, did Barrett take the penalty?  Anyway, with others losing it’s a good night for us.

If we could have written the script we couldn't have done much better....and Boston beating Brackley!

Congratulations to TW and the team. A tremendous performance. From the commentary, we were worth at the very least 1-0.

So we go into Saturdays game with our tails up, and with the opposition having just suffered a home defeat against a lower half of the table team.

Couldn't be better!  :scarf:

Good night for KLTFC

All in all a good night for Lynn, we win , Scarborough win,Hereford win at Fylde,Brackley lose at  Boston and Darlington draw at home v Buxton injury time equaliser , Gloucester draw with Chester

Looking better at the top again after tonight’s results.  :banghead;

Massively important we now back this win up and take points from Fylde, preferably 3 but 1 would not be a disaster.

Really good win tonight at Banbury, they were a good side when we played them at home. The players will enjoy their journey back home and so they should. Great results all round tonight, even Norwich won.
Very complimentary Puritans radio commentary, especially for Omotayo and Stephens. How quick the whole mood has changed. The whole team deserve a lot of praise tonight, same again at Fylde would be good.

Just watched the Fylde manager's assessment of their performance against Hereford. He was less than complimentary about the opposition, saying that Fylde lost the match due to underperformance and errors, rather than Hereford being superior.

Undoubtedly they will be fired up for Saturday. Should be one hell of a game.

To be fair, those who went would be coming home and there is always more comment on home games rather than away matches.  Do people moan more than praise, probably, particularly online but equally that is up to individuals to choose what they want to post.

As for Gold scoring, I don't think many people have got anything against him personally, he seems a decent enough bloke but he does provoke comments because he is the most extreme of non-league footballers who tend to be good at some things, not so good at others, hence they are not playing at a higher level that their 'good' attributes might suggest they could.  Gold is very good in the attacking 6-yard box and when defending set pieces, TW has tried to set the team up to create opportunities for him in the 6-yard box and I would say probably 75% of his goals have come from close range (I know they all count), what he is not so good at is 'open play' where his first touch is poor and he doesn't lead the line and bring others into play in the way Gash (for example) used to, so if we are facing a team that defends their penalty box well (Chester) and Gold has to do more work outside of the box that highlights his weaknesses and people focus on that.

Isn't it just !!!

Last night's results for the top 3 teams could not been any better for KLTFC - except maybe to increase the goal difference. But let's not be greedy. Roll on Saturday and hopefully an away win.

I think the primary issue with Gold is that in stature he is not dissimilar to the likes of Gash, Defty and even Dunkley, yet they were all much more physical in the way they played. But if he were able to add this element to.his game, he would in all probability be playing at a higher level?
