Great after match interview from Assistant Manager
« on: March 06, 2023, 01:31:36 PM »
After enjoying great game on Saturday, I though Hugo post match interview was very good and positive outlook. I personally found it a very refreshing interview rather than the the full of clichés Tommy comes out with.

However he is mystified why we aren't getting the crowds we use to get under Culverhouse, simple there are too many moroons and sc*m who shout out so much abuse from the North terrace, even against Scarborough the abuse they give the officials was so vile.

There has always been banter against visiting supporters and officials, but never to such vile swearing. There is one particularly vile 18 year old lad about 18, who was a ring leader and I thought was banned from Boston game, as his picture was on wanted list from the police list, who who still attends !

It always worries me when Managers or their assistants start asking such questions, as it makes me wonder if they have been involved in a discussion that involves the subject of budget cuts if gates remain so low.

No actual mention of such a thing,  and just MHO.

800 mid week approx. 1100 Saturdays approx.  950/1000 average in the current climate shouldn’t be sniffed at i guess.  Things can’t be too bad at the Club as we are running without a commercial Manager.

Reading last Saturday’s Chairman’s message it would seem it’s costing circa 1.2m in expenditure with around just over 1m coming in.  The Chairman seems comfortable with making up the shortfall.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

I for one really enjoy Tommy's interviews. Re attendance. I know for a fact that more than a few  cannot easily afford to attend every game in the current financial climate. There is also the issue of age profile - with some at the upper end perhaps opting out of mid week games for obvious reasons. I include myself within these categories....You don't r exactly need to be a rocket scientist to work all of that out?

It might also help if i felt i was a valued supporter, rather than just a customer!

Well said Rod. Correct on all points.

Have to agree with Rod on Tommys interview technique.  Far more professional than Hugo’s  monotone response’s to question.  Fair bit of contradiction in there as well.   Much refer to hear from the engine driver.  It’s his opinion that counts after all
