No new manager will be appointed. The level we are at next season will play a part in who would be interested. Hugo and Mark, or Josh Coulson / Michael Clunan will be amongst the caretaker managers I would think.
Forget about Setch / IC and co, their time has been and gone. When we know what League where in for next season and whether full or part time, SC will then look to appoint a replacement.

For all the money Cleeve has thrown at this season to get promoted again, I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t move quick to pay for a manager to come to get the job over the line. Huge gamble to leave it to a current player.

Mentioned it other week, but I can see Culverhouse coming back. Cleeve wants promotion, he’s delivered it in the past, knows the club. He’ll possibly see it as a worthwhile gamble to pay his compensation to get him back. Jimmy Dean the other candidate I could see happening, but I suppose it depends on Scunthorpe budget next season. If it’s cutting the cloth accordingly, he might see Lynn as better option as Scunthorpe are basically down.

Basically, I can see a permanent choice being made rather than temporary.

Bad news for any club at either end of a league table at this stage of a season.  My only hope for a new manager is that the Chairman is not influenced in his decision by applicants who talk football cliches, thereby giving the impression of expertise.  Applicants who talk “Character” or “Physicality” should be ignored as it shows no individual thinking or ideas.  The appointment should only be made according to the applicants contacts record, and the style of football played by his previous club(s), plus of course the budget he will request. Being a former name player is also irrelevant, as it doesn’t mean they can analyse or motivate.  Also a pity the ground hasn’t been developed, as it will reduce interest to some extent.  But look, we’re all on the same side here, so I just hope we get lucky, as that is a huge part of the game!!!

Won’t be Culverhouse or Dean, they are both under contract at their respective clubs and neither would want to come to Lynn for the short remainder of the season.

Daz can’t see SC waiting around for that to unravel before appointing a new Manager.   Sometimes the stars just don’t align.

I wholeheartedly agree Mal, personally think we need a new manager without any previous connections to the club, we need to go for somebody who has a good understanding of running a non league club on limited funds available. We have become accustomed to previous managers asking for more money, more away game stop overs, more money spent on the pitch etc.etc.etc.  We need to work within the budget set and not keep pumping money in and becoming more in debt.
We are really now a club with a core support of around 850 people, so set the management budget based on this and if successful, as always more will appear through the turnstiles and the extra revenue could then be used towards the end of a season to strengthen if playoffs or automatic promotion is possible.

Currently manager of England Under 19s , lives in Peterborough
Previously at Stockport and assistant manager at Dundee
I believe he may have been in the running for our job before

Agree Daz.  SC needs to recruit where the tail isn’t wagging the dog.   Then again if SC still has ambitions for the Club that’s not going to work.

Never a dull moment.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?
