I've attended all the home games bar one and 12 away matches and I can say that today was the worst team performance of the year. if where not for some good saves it could have been 10-1.

What was Coulson doing messing around at the back, leading to the penalty and then a few minutes later giving the ball away for the first goal. At 3-1 down taking off Stephens for a defender whats that about ?

The boys since Tommy left have excelled themselves but they just did  not turn up today.  Kidderminster where the better team by a country mile.

Wow! I travelled 250 miles to watch my beloved Linnets.

That was the worst game I have ever seen them play. By dominating the league for the best part of a season, they are obviously a very good team. However, they looked completely spooked from minute one. Coulson had an absolute shocker and typified the performance.

I don't rate the back 3/5 formation, especially when playing at home in front of a large crowd. The team has no pace and in this game had no composure. Only Dixon-Hodge and Stephens looked remotely good. Aaron Jones looked like a square peg at left wing back. Oxlade-Chamberlain looked average, as did Barrett and a surprisingly anonymous Omatayo.

The Linnets need to settle on a 4-3-3 next season and get some pace on the flanks. Olly Scott looks a big miss.

Oh well, next season beckons and the squad needs strengthening at CB and on the flanks, preferably with some pace!

Congratulations to Kidderminster, they were the better team today and deserved to win. Do Kidderminster or Brackley deserve to play National League football next season, no they don’t. Teams with the most league points should go up. I wish Kidderminster FC and their fantastic fans good luck for the final.
We have done really well this season, with some great performances, today we were outclassed.

Our biggest game of the season coincided with our worst performance of the season - we didn't turn up.

However, Kidderminster were very good.

As for the Play Offs....... I have no problem with them - at the start of the season, all teams know the situation, which therefore makes it fair.

We had the chance to gain automatic promotion (as does every club at the start of the season) but unfortunately couldn't quite achieve it.

It's all "if's, buts and maybes" but a draw at home in the Fylde match instead of a one goal defeat, would have seen us champions

Harsh, but so many games could be picked as the one that cost us the title.
There were a few. But fylde had their share too,and we were so very close to catching them, even after many, myself included, thought there was no chance.
It can be a funny old game.
It wasn't today.
I'll hopefully be back next season.

No, they are not fair. They should never have been a replacement for an automatic promotion, they should have been for an additional promotion spot. Yes, all teams know how the play offs work, I just think they should have kept the same automatic places and created an extra one fir the play offs. They are fair - the fact it's the same for every team when they start the season, by definition, makes it fair.

The fact we lost out to a team 20+points behind us is harsh, I completely agree, and I'm as deflated as anybody, but we cannot blame the playoffs.........none of us complained when we beat Warrington in the super play off did we??

They are brutal - it's a great way to get promoted, it's the worst way to lose out on promotion.

If you get beat in play off game you can take it in the chin if you feel
Your side as given it’s all.   What is hard to accept is being blown away at home without really laying a glove on the opposition.   

Biggest game of the season and we just roll over and have our tummy tickled.  SC needs to find out from Hughes what the hell went wrong.  Lack of motivation?  Lack of a game plan ?  Lack of experience from the Management ?   Combination of all 3?

Hughes has gone from having the job in the bag to many thinking he’s not up to the job.

This is a very true statement. Several games over the last season we have only just edged a result, we need more convincing results as Kidderminster did to us yesterday.

The strange thing is they hadn't even reached a top 7 play off position until the very last day of the season. When a team is in form they're in form I guess*, but they were excellent on the day.
I do wonder historically how teams have fared in the higher division when getting promoted via play offs from such a lowly league position
