Would you all be saying the same had we won the play offs?
I don't think so.
It's how the league works, not just ours but most of them.
We didn't turn up for the play off game, and that's not anyone else's fault.
We had an excellent opportunity with home advantage in both potential games and blew it. Sour grapes won't alter the fact.
Go again next season. We know the format and that won't change.

quite agree with you Jesus; there is the question of a new manager for the kiddies that motivated that team, giving Hughes the chance to motivate the linnets for the next season; still being full-time will probably see at least 60% of our players staying with us; considering the loss at Buxton with going down to 9 men and calls for discipline in the ranks, then being shoddy against both games against Farsley that were our nemesis. Next season is all about tenacity drive and above all, discipline and sheer guts and determination beat the lower teams as "Cobra Kai" motive "no mercy" is our motto for next season; winning those games against bottom clubs will see us through next season as automatic champion; there is possibly one team that might test is Scunthorpe

Nice thought Joss, but probably not very realistic………Chester, Hereford and Scunthorpe to contend with……all have a much bigger fan base .

The play offs at nearly all levels are here and here to stay.  Like it or not.  Personally I don’t give a stuff one way or the other.   As long as everyone knows what they are dealing with before a ball is kicked then let’s play ball

The one thing with regard to promotion/relegation I would like to see changed is the number of Clibs promoted from the NL to the FL.  Needs upping from two to three
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

I don't think that the size of the fan base is anywhere near as important as having a successful money generating commercial department, or having a Chairman with the biggest wallet.

Biggest spender wins in most cases.

Depends B&G how wisely the man with the deepest pockets spends his money. Take Chelsea

As for commercial activity that’s us bollixed then

So are people really saying unless we can mix it with the big boys in terms of income our only hope of promotion is via the play offs ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

As long as they don’t move the goalposts halfway through a season, it’s fine. Same rules apply to all.
Just because some don’t approve it doesn’t make it wrong or unacceptable either.

You’re welcome to your view of “it’s fine” but it’s just your view….and I am entitled to mine that it’s very definitely not……and I guess there will be those that support both stances……..to my mind just because a rule is there, doesn’t change and is the same for all doesn’t mean that is ok. Questioning rules is healthy sometimes.
It's not "just my view" as you state. It's other people's as well. Nobody questioned that you were entitled to an opinion. Of course you are. Everyone can have an opinion, even Sovereign Citizens.
Some think its right, some think its wrong, some think its acceptable, some think it's unacceptable.

Sovereign Citizens can as you say have an opinion, but being a U.S. derived term, it’s unlikely they would be interested in little old Lynn……..Wrexham maybe !
