Here's an idea for some post match entertainment which I read somewhere.  Give local bands / musicians the opportunity to showcase in the B and G at no cost to the Club. ( I'm assuming a match is on TV in the B and G before a game).

Why should it be expected that musicians play for free?

Could always take the stance of bands in America, they play to put themselves in the public eye, and have a jar for tips or donations, and sell merchandise if they have it? I would like the club to pay they expenses, plus they watch the game for free, that will save them probably £20 each?
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

Thing is there, there's far better venues in King's Lynn than the Club where the bands could do that, if they wanted to.

Very doubtful you would get any half decent bands on board for that one. Maybe younger musicians now starting out, but then you have to ask what sort of appeal that would have to any Lynn supporters, and if it would increase the number of people wanting to use the club facilities.

Nice idea, but I have my doubts.

They tried this at Bromley Nigel with local young bands playing after the match.  What a din, most people want to have a quiet drink and a chat and catch up with Sky sports.  It didn't last long.

Yes, can't see it working. No reason for the decent local bands to play for free, and no reason to expect them to.

In fact I know of bands that wouldn't play there even if they were paid.

As I've already said, nice idea though.

As a starter maybe we should attempt to follow the Heacham model, of a genuine community club that very obviously values supporters old and new and which consistently offers value for money?

Should of hit pre-season with big intentions.
Was lots of goodwill from crowds at tail end of season plus the work the community team have been doing.
Will all be forgotten when season ticket sales start and the hunt for sponsors begins.

Stephen Cleeve must have some fantastic roses.  I don’t know why anyone takes any notice of the guy.   It is what it is.  Just deal with it.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?
