Will be interesting to see how many that we have made offers to stay.  Also will be interesting to see how many under contract are lured away to pastures new
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

So now we know who the 10 contracted players are including two keepers.  I can't see us keeping all ten and would suspect the exercising of options is to ensure there are fees involved for some which makes sense.  Not sure I would have offered contracts to as many of the out of contract players as we appear to have done but again I wouldn't expect all of them to still be with the club come the start of next season.  MH has obviously had a good look at all the players before taking on the management reigns so now down to him to shape the squad and playing style going forward, likely to be a test as can't see him getting as much out of SC as TW did but the fact we are staying full-time suggests SC is still committed to sticking his hand in his pocket next season

I've heard that budget has been cut by 5k a week down to 12k.Sort of an admission of failure really but can't say I blame him.

Can't comment on the figures but maybe not so much an admission of failure, more an acceptance that last years budget was unrealistic and maybe both owner and fans need to understand we needed to press the reset button

Just as well we didn’t get promotion! Just wouldn’t be able to compete and would be back down again sharpish.

Insufficient budget available for NL and probably only 4/5 of squad genuinely good enough for NL.

Personally, very comfortable with a reset, so long as work begins behind the suspense to grow the club.

Unless a professional fully functioning off field operation is put in place, i fear that on the pitch it will at best be one step forward then one back. With the continuing over reliance on the owner making up the deficit, there is only one likely outcome? Just a case of when?

With diminished funds for season 23/24
Prominent players leaving
Inexperienced coach at the helm.....
The likes of scunthorpe/ South shields added to the league...
I predict top ten at best, incredibly difficult season ahead with a team collectively weaker than last campaign........
BUT I must praise the chairman for his continued commitment to the cause 🫡

Birc, not sure South Shields will be in the mix as their benefactor is on record saying he is scaling back his financial doping (not his phrase) this season so they may well be in a similar position to us with a fan base whose expectations are not necessarily aligned with what their owner is prepared to fund.

Don’t know much about Spencer Keller, but didn’t he score a rather spectacular goal in one game?  Not seen him play, but he was never given another chance, as far as I know.  Did the management think his goal was a one-off fluke, or does he have ability the club hasn’t recognised?  On the wider front, as some have said, the organisational and professional behind the scene staffing and system need 100% improvement if we are ever to make any improvement in stature at all.  Like some again, I thank SC for his commitment and generosity….and continued interest coupled presumably with ambition.

No, it was Walker who scored the third goal at Leamington but some media sources gave it to Keller although the video shows it was Walker and Keller was an unused sub.

Thanks, Nemesis.  Suggests to me Zain Walker should have been given more chances, especially when we needed goals in Widdrington’s defensive period against lower teams.

IMHO ZW was like a nuisance fly on the pitch when he came on and the lacklustre display by Mr Keller against Lowestoft made me wander why he was recruited. If they are replaced hopefully it will be by 2 stronger players who can contribute more to the team.
