In an interview last season Gold mentioned he had the ambition to return to Switzerland and play for his hometown club.

Probably more money at Aldershot, just hope we get a decent price for Widdrington? Widdrington family could pay handsomely?
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

Shots have a fans forum on Wednesday.

The following is a message from Club Chairman Shahid Azeem:

“Now that the season is over, I’d like to invite you to our next Fans Forum.

The event is scheduled to take place at the EBB Lounge on Wednesday, 21st June, at 18:30pm.

As well as hearing from our First-Team Manager Tommy Widdrington about plans for next season, you’ll be able to hear from the board and our development partner, Wates, about our long-term vision for the Club and our progress so far.

As mentioned in previous updates, we’ve been undertaking technical surveys, negotiating with nearby landowners and engaging with stakeholders; and we’re now excited to be able to start sharing our long-term plans with you – starting at the Fans Forum in June.

It’s been a long process to get us to this point and we’ve been fortunate enough to find in Wates a partner willing to assume the risk in exploring what is possible and getting us to a place where we can start to make the changes we need for the long-term success of our Club. Thanks to Wates’ commitment, we’ve been able to lay a lot of the groundwork for the forthcoming development.

Shortly after the Fans Forum, we’ll be launching a new development hub on our website so that you can look at the plans in more detail, stay up to date with progress, and have your say about the work.

This is going to be an important Fans Forum, and I hope to see you there – and at some of our pre-season fixtures over the summer!”

Sharing their plans with fans.........interesting concept........not sure it will ever catch on though.

You are forgetting.  You need to have a plan first before sharing it.   We seem more a seat of ya pants type Club.   Lots of talk the talk but not so much walk the walk
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

They appear to be operating like a professional operation, even to the point of engaging with supporters. How original and unusual.

Greetings all…
As I said a few weeks ago, I fear for next season and nothing so far has changed my view. As supporters we all back the Club regardless…but players departing and not being replaced is a real worry. I can’t see any way we’re going to be at the top yet alone pushing for a play-off place. Just staying in the NLN could be the best we can hope for. I hate being pessimistic and remain hopeful I’m wrong but we’re not far off July and the seeming lack of activity is concerning. It may well be that a lot is going on behind the scenes but you would think by now that the better players we need have been grabbed by other teams.

Scunthorpe have signed yet another……winger from Aberdeen. Whilst it might take them the first quarter of the season to gel,it’s difficult to see past them for the title. I suspect they could spend big again come January, if need be. Utterly futile to try and compete with that. Mid table to last play off spot would perhaps be a realistic goal for 23/24 for Lynn……..maybe the current activity reflects that.

Yes, I am pleased to see he has gone there rather than theWiddlershots. Widdler and his now Chairman have a stench lingering over them which will be there for some time…..

So Ponticelli and Stephens currently up front…..personally think Sherriff at Kettering and Cosgrave are worth considering

Having signed five, including Gold, Fylde have now put forward their offer of Early Bird Season tickets for their National League campaign to their supporters. Please note the order of events there. By the way prices are from £170 for an adult (£7.39 per game)
