Think Knowles hinted he would be leaving, so just Oxlade Chamberlain to hear from

More bad news than good! Lets hope we can find some new players  that can replace the ones that's left.

Is it really all bad news ?   Maybe a big reset button being pushed at the Club.

Have to consider the Chairman has backed it as far as he can and maybe beyond.  He’s not prepared/unable to make the same commitment going forward.  Who can blame him ?  It’s just a money pit.

The Club had the foresight to set up an academy and now it should be given the opportunity to start paying dividends.

Ok, so maybe we won’t be challenging at the top end of the League, then again if we did gain promotion who would pay for life in step one ?  Remember we tried it and came up way short.   We won’t be getting crowds averaging 1400 if we aren’t at the top end of the League but we could well be ‘saving’ circa £250k in wages.

People have to remember SC has to find the cash to start paying back the massive loan taken out in a failed attempt to keep us at Step one.

We all have to accept the M.O. at the Club has changed.  Let’s just be thankfully we are playing at one level higher than we were when SC took over.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Quite agree Mall. I may be wrong but I get the impression that SC has pushed as far as possible over the last few seasons, to firstly try and keep us in the NL and then to return us there at the first attempt last season. There now has to be a reset……and this could be fun, with the U23’s and local lads given the chance to improve and push for a place. It will be good to see some fresh faces. Clunan, Gold and Jones are all 29…they can’t play forever for Lynn.

People, I think need to fully appreciate that the club is well above its natural position still. So don’t moan at SC….look around the town…..the town doesn’t or maybe can’t support the club sufficiently for an NL side at the moment. Successive managers have made that point. The populations of Boston,Aldershot and Scunthorpe do support their clubs in greater numbers and these clubs have a more potent commercial side too, so they can afford the players that we have now lost…simple economics

Pink, I think that the majority of Lynn supporters are well aware of what you are saying and have been from day one.

In fairness Pink those 3 Clubs are all ex League and in one case were playing in the Championship turning over Norwich City, not so long back.   We are nowhere near that level, off the field

I believe that such as the degree of supporter apathy and the relative lack of local business sponsorship support, is unlikely to markedly change just as long as the current owneship model remans in place.

That’s the problem Mall, so many of the NLN sides are now ex league.

On a positive note.
All season ticket holders will now be given the chance to play for the club.

Rod you could well be right.  Maybe SC will be more humble and forthright with the fans going forward...... then again

Could be once the decks are cleared of players who are leaving the Nanager will have the full picture on what budget he has to work with.

Get the feeling we will run with a experienced squad of say 14 with the balance of the squad made up from the Academy.  How many players have we signed on at the moment?

Two goalkeepers and two centre halves, Tommy Hughes, Ben Stephens and Ponticelli

then, JB,Cam, Olly Scott and Adam Crowther and the Ox…….is that everyone ??

Just typing this, it kinda feels important for there to be one or two significant signings very soon to make those above want to stay…otherwise a mass exodus could leave us with something like 4/5 only.

Going to be a lot of trialists on show across the friendlies. Good chance for a reset, but probably be a slow start to season before it clicks. As shown with Kidderminster, if that’s the case hopefully it works well in end and it’s a charge into the play offs late on with momentum.
