Put the club up for sale
« on: December 28, 2023, 06:52:58 PM »
If the chairman put the club up for sale, there are plenty of people with money including myself who would be interested, in taking over, based on SC leaving the club, unfortunately  he is only looking to get investors while he stays in charge.

Personally as a supporter of many years, I  think it may be a good  thing to get relegated and go back to be part time. Be in local leagues with local players, being a supporter 20-30 years ago when he a min of 1000 at games playing teams like Coalville, Team bath, Wisbech etc was a much more of an enjoyable time supporting the club.

You buy the Club, you buy the debt.

How much were you thinking of offering?

From what I understand the Chairman is willing to sell 100%.  You should contact him.

There is a post on Facebook about boycotting the next game, in protest at Mr. Stephen Cleeve .
In my opinion, people should do the exact opposite! Turn up and support our team!
We all know the club has financial issues, and we've been here before, with the club failing to finish the season, and having to start over at a lower level. I'm sure nobody wants it to happen again.
I know he doesn't make it easy to back him,but in reality, what choice do we have?
Him selling up?
What would any potential buyer actually be getting for what would be a considerable amount of money? Not much I would think!
Would a big new investor come in and work with him? I  doubt that.
The only way to have any hope for the club going forward, is to back OUR TEAM!
That means attending games, supporting the players when they need it most.I know it's not easy but the club needs support more than ever!
COYL!

In the past, there has been occasions at other Clubs where supporters have purchased tickets for a game (therefore financially supporting the Club), but then not attending in protest.
I guess quite a few supporters would have to do this to make their feelings known.

At Lynn, they would perhaps also have to ask themselves if this would work, or would the Chairman not care about a boycott as long as the money came in.   :dontknow:

So, those that find themselves between a rock and a hard place may want to consider this as an option.

In fact, there's nothing stopping people buying more than one ticket (if personal finances permit it) if they should wish to assist Mr Cleeve in his current efforts.

The only thing that seemingly saves the Club is either SC finds a new ‘investor’ now or finds the money to limp through to the end of the season where the owner says 3 parties are interested in coming onboard.

It’s never over till the fat lady sings ..but today we maybe pore but we are still alive and kicking.

As for fans boycotting the game Saturday, how will anyone know the difference as must be close to the real hardcore fans now.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Perhaps the average fan (Customer) is probably wondering where their hard earned cash is exactly going over the next couple of weeks....absolute silence from S.C over the few days.

He is working 24 hours a day looking for saviour for the Club.  He’s said because of negative posts on X he won’t be posting.

Though he is overdue a podcast which would keep the fans updated.  Let’s hope this overseas investor comes up Trumps. Lack of English shouldn’t be a problem as long as he has the dollars ( 💵 not this type)
