Match Commentary
« on: August 02, 2023, 11:13:09 AM »
I see we are once again reliant on the away team’s services on Saturday.

With the current X/Twitter feed refreshing issues, regular updates may be challenging for those who can’t make it to The Walks. As ever in this league, lots of long distance away matches coming up.

Perhaps a good time to look at how others do it (ie provide a commentary) and seek out a sponsor if necessary ?????

Was reading earlier this week that Peterborough Utd have ended their contract with BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, with immediate effect.  They are taking the live commentary in-house.  They consider this to be the future but will very much enhance the match day experience for the fans listening in.   Of course this will come at a cost ( £5 for a single game).     It’s under the ‘PoshPlus branding.    I wonder if this could be the way forward for Lynn ?

With cutbacks on BBC Radio I wonder how much longer they will have the budget to send a team to do live coverage of games at The Walks and on occasion travelling to cover an away game
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

£5!

That means anything Lynn do will have to be £6 at least!

As usual B&G your positivity for anything relating to the club is overwhelming.

Someone take a phone with a full battery and call the hospital radio and do a live commentary.  Hospital Radio Lynn are on your smart speakers so can be listened to anywhere.

Free, live commentary and it keeps the patients who want it, entertained.

Make every day a Sun day.

I fear that any potential sponsor would have to go to the Club and request that they are allowed to be honored and pay to have a relationship with them, rather than the Club approaching a local business and showing the initiative.

Think that’s somewhat harsh Realist.  SC is sailing this ship single handed with a team of Volunteers ( today’s EDP) so yes there are going to something’s that are not up to the level we all ( me included) would like.  I’m sure if you have any thoughts on people who would like to invest in the club then email SC.   He’s given that open invitation in latest podcast.

SC has made a boatload of mistakes and I’m sure will continue to do so, but he’s still there batting away for us, sinking his own cash into the pit that is a Non League Football.

Hugh Jackman was at Wrexhams game today to witness their thrashing. He claims that when Reynolds took over at Wrexham, he was offered co ownership of a club by one of their league rivals.

With his Norfolk connections you never know.  Tom Brady getting involved at Birmingham.   Seems it’s becoming very fashionable
