So far this season.

It’s all going a bit Pete Tong. At least next year I will be able to go and watch Lynn up the road at Bedford…not all bad news.

Another tough place to go…….but having pulled back to 1-1, losing a player to a red card with 30 minutes left makes things really difficult. Josh Coulson is the star forward at the moment it seems, scoring today and his effort cleared off the line and falling to Stephens v Gloucester. 3 points v Alfreton on Monday seems pretty important now.

Agreed Pink Monday is looking very important.   Must win ?  Surely not this early in the season.  I do wonder if SC is starting to get a bit jittery though.  Imagine him having spent all that cash and saddled the Club with all that debt only to end up in the same step3 level we were when he came into the building.

Hughes comes across as being a really nice guy, but being a nice guy surely doesn’t give you anything in the bank when you aren’t winning Football matches.   I sincerely hope the  guy gets this show up and running.

If things don’t improve PDQ I hope Cleeve doesn’t leave it too long before holding his hand up to making another poor choice and gives any replacement enough time to get the Club back on track.

I’m sure a win on Monday will give a totally different complexion to things.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Yes fingers crossed for Hughes and his team, hoping things start to turn for them very soon.

For me, the playoff failure was telling. Hughes didn't seem to have much clue, either tactically or how to prevent the slump becoming worse. I fear he is another Clark.

In fairness, I would guess Clark had a much bigger playing budget to work with than Hughes currently has.  :dontknow:

Surely Hughes has the benefit of a full time squad plus an Academy to back that up. So would suggest Clark’s budget was much smaller.

Just had a listen to the Chorley Managers post match interview.  They had 29 efforts of which 19 were on target.  Very worrying those stats.  Looking at the highlights Jones saved us from a right stuffing.  Surely Cleeve will have to act if things don’t go well on Monday.

:farmer: :oldman" I have to say, not posted on the forum so far this season, but felt the time is now to have my say, I strongly felt while we were recruiting players that they appeared to not be of the standard required, kept off the keyboard, sat back and waited too see, yes we need to pick players up from lower levels and take a chance, but we appear to pick up what’s left not get in there first. Fletcher Toll is maybe not at the level required for national level, but he’s as good as what is on display at the moment, should still be with KLTFC, sign him , train him and let him play on loan, surely worth a shot.  We should also be looking at players dropping out of the EFL, we need a mixture of youth and experience, in my opinion each player who left has been replaced by an inferior player, just my opinion, but one I’m entitled to before I receive detrimental comments.
I firmly believe the manager was living off the squad last season, yes he gained a few wins, but when it really boiled down to it he was out of his depth, as he seems to be so far this season, again only my opinion. I don’t know the budget and assume it’s a lot lower than last season, but if things don’t improve very quickly, we will be looking at relegation rather than promotion, I’ve now had my say, I’ll sit back, and see what happens a win at home today is vitally important otherwise we are starting to be cut adrift.

The stats against Chorley were no less than could be expected from picking such a defensive line-up.  Six defenders (including the GK) is certain to keep a team pinned back and facing chances for the Opposition.  As the object for ant team is to try to outnumber the opponents in as many situations as possible, that line-up has little chance of going forward successfully - imho!  I shall insert the Chorley stats into the Dillathon computer, and report back with the solution….
