Monday's F A Cup draw
« on: September 03, 2023, 10:48:49 AM »
A few local possibilities in tomorrow's FA cup draw
Spalding are still in, as are, Wroxham (subject to a replay), AFC Sudbury, Royston, Cambridge City, Kettering and our old rivals Coalville
Sadly Fakenham and Dereham lost yesterday as too did Stamford

Fingers crossed for another home tie if our luck holds

I guess we'll be in the Nothern section so Royston, Sudbury etc. will be out of the equation??

I hope for a home tie against a team ranked lower than us - who will hopefully be worse than us on the day!!

So Scunthorpe away it is then!!!

Does anyone know the time of the draw?? Is it dinner time??

Let’s hope we get another decent run to help the Club coffers.  The money from the FA Cup is an important part of the funds needed to run the Club
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

I’m not expecting much of a Cup run this year…….theNLN is a tough league for our young side to get to grips with….hopefully they will slowly climb the league as they get used to the demands. These were my thoughts before we drew Aveley , who are going well, with momentum. We can’t expect significant revenues from the Cup every year……..especially having gone down the route of reduced budgets and developing a younger, less experienced side…..but of course…football is a funny old game, so you never know.

Tough game at Farsley …..will do well to get something from Brackley’s visit tomorrow ,I fancy , on the back of Saturday’s battle. Fingers crossed.
