Looking at the game tonight.   2-0 up pulled back to 2-2.  2 points dropped there or 1 gained ?   Took a point before the game without a doubt.  5 mins into the 2nd half you would have maybe expected/hope for all 3.

Absolutely a point gained imo, MH going into the game without his starting full backs and injuries elsewhere meant players starting out of position and really limited substitute options, particularly in midfield with Smith playing as emergency right back.  As it turned out a good performance in terms of effort and created chances to maybe win the game but not sure anyone who was at the Walks could really say that Brackley didn't deserve a share of the points however disappointing an injury time equaliser is to concede.

Big plus points for me were some of the new lads - Oke continues to impress, Fatadjo was busy and provided positive movement from midfield and Isaacson looked like he had been playing in the side all season and won't come up against many wingers of that standard this season.  One other player to mention individually has to be Jones who seems to be playing better than before his injury last season.

Finally another positive post about the ref - good control of the game and got most 'right' from where I stood, that is two really good refs in the three home games I have been to, maybe SC should be Xing that rather than marginal offsides or writing programme notes that highlight the (continued) lack of off-field management at the club

On reflection Tony think you are right.  Point gained.   It was real back to the walls stuff.  Agree with regard to the ref, thought she had an excellent game.

Read SC’s programme notes this morning.  Oh my oh my.  Looks like he’s very concerned about  paying back that loan.  Shame he put the Club in that situation with his failed attempt at staying in the NL.  What happened to the his brainwave of ring fencing £1 from every admission to pay back that loan ?  As for the money the Club is haemorrhaging. With the figures he’s quoting why do we have a full time playing staff and paying out for such things as overnight stays? It seems everything is everyone’s fault where Cleeve is concerned.  Maybe the truth lies closer to home.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Who ever he his it’s the same old boring comments I hate Steve  give it a rest Gordon you have made your point
In that case, maybe it's a shame some didn't take more notice when he first brought such things to people's attention.

Perhaps he is the mystery sponsor of the main stand?

GC. Who was responsible for bringing in all that revenue ?  It seems SC has had so many different people ( including himself) trying to pull in match day ( etc) revenue but no one seems to have cracked it.

Any thoughts as to why ?
John Fincham, superb commercial manager, alongside manager at Barclays. Who and what that man did not know wasn't worth knowing.
Peter Langford ex businessman also on commercial
Brian Nelson ALWAYS sold out EVERY match sponsorship before the season even started.
Management Team answerable to the board
Supporters club, myself and Steve Hooks
Clubshop originally Colin Bruce (Stratfords) and Kevin Chase then under the supporters club banner. Myself and Kevin. Made substantially bigger with a large product range visited by, AFC Wimbledon, Peterborough Utd and Cambridge United for ideas for THEIR clubshops.
End of season marquee functions, friday night sit down dinner and Sportsman nights 400 people. Saturday night hosted by myself, soul music nights again totally sold out 400 people.
One of the sundays (again my tenure) was a SOUL ALL DAYER with DJs from the likes of Wigan Casino, etc. Other seasons predominantly end of season player presentation awards on the sudays
Away travel supporters club, minimum 1 mini bus, occassionally two, myself driving one and if 2 then Trevor Defty (jacks dad) driving the other or full size coaches with drivers.
At least bi monthly evening events in the Blue and Gold along with Quizzes etc. The B&G averaged 3 nights MINIMUM booked weekly with 200+ present regularly.
100 club paid out £100 winner at EVERY home game, Supporters Club
Bonus Ball , Supporters Club.
Christmas supporters lunches, sold out year after year with Kevin Chase and cooked by the legend Les Phelp. R.I.P

Gordon Childers a sad bitter and twisted old man!
Just because Cleeves wouldn’t buy the football kit of Gordon’s sewing company

Totally wrong MJ. Hiding behind initials. Not getting your facts right. Not interested in the truth.
Me not sad, over the moon thanks, not bitter the past five years has been the best.
Nothing to do with SC not buying the kit from Double G. Sorry not a sewing company. He NEVER bought the kit. It was FREE (Thousands of pounds worth each season) jointly donated by Joma and Double G for the first team and totally paid for by Double G for the Reserves. Would you like to see a copy of the contract?
The real reason for bailing out was because the contract was about to end at the end of april and Double G would NOT be part of any new contract that cost SC NOTHING (apart from clubshop garments). Every other product was free!
Then there was an invoice that had not been paid but SC could not remember how it had been paid or when. As soon as that money was in the bank (february for a previous June invoice) we jumped ship, not KLTFC no longer needing their services.
SEVENTEEN years and multi thousands of sponsorship and multi thousands of pounds raised during that time. Walked away. Head held high. The truth and nothing but the truth.

Cheers for the reply to my questions GC.  I’ve got just one more.  May not be possible to answer but give it a go.

The amount raised back then with all of the different commercial enterprises.  If you had to put a figure on it in today’s £, shillings and pence, what numbers £‘S would it equate to ?

Income v expenditure?  :dontknow:

Gordon's highlighting the revenue. The other side of the coin is the expenditure.

For me Coastal I’d go with improving but way short of what we enjoyed under Culverhouse and indeed Widdrington.    Like all Clubs you don’t get the football without the money.  The more money the better the football it seems.   Money talks as they say

It started to go downhill when the Directors decided to disband the Management team.

What a bizarre decision to make.
