As a senior supporter, I pay £16 to watch a game, i've been to two away games so far both cost £10 to get in, last season I went to 16 away games and never paid more than £11 and most grounds like Fyle and Boston had far superior facilities especially for parking. No wonder attendances are down this year its too expensive for the level of football we are at. We are treated dreadful, standing in the North terrace you have to walk all the way to the back lane behind the main stand to get to the car park or to get some chips at half time.

Last home game the attendance of c.500 ? or so, was so bad they refuse to publish it. Standing on the North terrace on and off since 1967, I've never seen it so empty for a league game.

Only one person to blame when it comes to attendances.

I'm a loyal supporter and preach the idea that you must follow your club through thick and thin, but with our fickle fanbase and dreadful pricing structure, I'm afraid a number of supporters are going to vote with their feet.

Such a shame for a club that should be getting over a 1,000 every week.

Yes, but that is comparing this season with all attendances last season.

Attendance comparisons are a minefield.  Which Club we play and at what time of the season can make things look better/worse.  Also SC said in his Prog notes that 150 kids took advantage of the offer for free admission on the opening day.

We always have this debate about the cost of admission compared to other Club’s.  Yes we are expensive but have been that way for several years now. So it’s nothing new.  SC has shown previously that lowering the admission costs loses him even more money as the attendance figures do not go up enough to cover the reduction.

So basically the faithful are helping to pay for SC’s hobby and his lack of nous where the Commercial side is concerned.

Absolutely spot on Mallard. We customers are supposed, without question,, to subsidise the club's chronic inability to generate off field revenue streams. The pricing structure particularly disadvantages those who, for whatever reason, don't or can't buy a season ticket.

could equally argue that SC has pumped £',000s into a club that, in reality, maybe doesn't justify playing NLN (and previously NL) level.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle and depending on your views around the club, SC, the wider fanbase, ownership models, non-league football in general, etc will depend on where you are on that spectrum.  What most would probably agree with (concede) is that the is a real disconnect between the club in it's broadest sense and the town, in particular the business community.  Again we can all have opinions as to how we have got to this point and those opinions will no doubt shape people's solution but the sooner that position can start to be turned around the better

Just one final point on attendances / promotional ticket offers, SC dug himself a hole at the start of the season by doing what many wanted and offering early bird / lower priced season tickets and whilst anecdotally this was a success in terms of season ticket sales, it does mean potentially a lot more dissenting voices should he want to do any sort of promotion with league pricing also as has been pointed out earlier, cup pricing is not solely down to SC

I’m sure he bought the Club with his’dream’ of EFL.  Certainly that would have pricked peoples ears up.  Who wouldn’t want to see that.  The problem is everyone expected SC to pay for that dream.  Maybe SC had a set figure that we was going to throw at the project, in the short term.  Was the hope that once the thing was up and running people would be queuing up to add investment into the ideal together with fans flicking through the gate with a commercial side that would bring in a substantial amount as well.

Trouble is none of what was hoped for materialised.  So it’s left Stephen Cleeve holding the baby ion his own.

Be interesting if SC could address the future in his next podcast ( next One is due) to give the supporters an insight it what he has planned for the future.

The cost of living crisis after the pandemic has sealed the fate of many sadly  not only in football but th wider business

I think he would sell if someone had the cash but think he will have to plod on

SC loves shooting himself in the foot. Allegedly 150 free children who cannot come in on their own so would have 1/2 parent with them to then put £150 overpriced adults into the ground that probably would not have come.
The same practice for the academy, the children are given SEASON TICKETS as part of their signing on. Again not allowed in on their own!!!!!!!
As for other posts about the 0000s that SC has invested. How much has he PERSONALLY invested from his bottomless pockets which are probably sewn up at the top!
As for the ex Linnet (Lee Hyde) trying to have a conversation with SC on saturday about the cup admission price to be told it was not his problem (SCs). If it is not his problem who's problem actually is it? The man is a walking disaster with the track recoird to match it!

Just a point Gordon would you have let your children go to a footballl match on their own I know I wouldn’t have but I suppose at what age are the children , but it’s all about getting bums on seats
