Just give the budget, which I’d say is much higher than when he was in charge, to Gary Setchell love or hate the lad he had passion.
imo wasn’t given a decent chance at all

Who know's what he could have achieved with the bigger budget that following Managers enjoyed?Setch knows how to motivate the players,he has so far not managed an unsuccesful team?I believe that what many are fearful of, is that whoever is in charge going forward, its all too late.Whats really going to change if a new Manager was appointed. The current problems appear much deeper than just the Manager and his playing staff.
So much belief in coaches and managers. If there is “learning” in football, they would all reach the point at which they are deemed to “know” the game. However, they all get sacked, so does that mean they had forgotten what they “learned”?! Players motivate themselves and other players, not managers. All any club needs is a manager with contacts and the money to lure them, then tell the team to outnumber the opposition in as many situations as they can. Screaming and hollering are irrelevant…
It helped that Peter Taylor built him a team to Manage, Rod

At Stevenage yes B&G, at Boston it took moneyin brown envelopes to go with it.
