Any manager is only worth the money at his disposal, and the contacts that he or she has.  Knowledge of “the game” doesn’t matter, because there is very little to know - the pre and after-match assessments are largely cliche-driven waffle.  The appointee has to be able to see what’s happening on the pitch & therefore spot what has to change.  They all fail as often as they succeed.  The key clue is that you won’t see Pep playing with Carragher and Neville’s computer!  Appoint the applicant who in the interview doesn’t mention the following cliches…. “Character, workrate, winning fouls, physicality”, but does say he wants his team to score more than the opponents!….  And I hope SC retains his interest and ambition….

I’m with you Pink I feel it will be someone with no natural affliction to the Club.  Just hope SC gets this one right.  I just hope he can find the right fit for the Club and indeed for himself.

As for the Club going tits up, I do wonder what the future holds.  Is SC going to pull back and hope a White Knight can save the day or will it slowly fall into a big black hole.   Maybe at some point that’s what it will take to get all the debt wiped away and a clean fresh start under new owners.   Someone in the David Newton mould would work for me.  Successful, astute, well respected in the local business community and with the fans.   Ring any bells ?

Really interesting quote in the article from June 22 - only debt is the Sports Winter Survival Loan (COVID) and that will be repaid - if ever you needed an example of the contrast between the Linnets and our near neighbours that surely must be it.  The sad thing is that in lots of ways they are the model that we could (should) have tried to copy, as it is it looks like we maybe are more akin to the model they had prior to Newton's tenure.

We play at being a community club, Boston are the genuine article and this manifests itself in many positive ways. Example: i cannot provide detail but i have it on very good authority that when the visiting toilets were vandalised at last year's derby game, Boston took the initiative in making good the damage and offering a full apology. No 'arm twisting' on our part was required!

Surely its the Club that's going around in circles?   

If something used to work in the past, but things don't appear to be working now, what would be wrong about trying to resurrect what used to work?

Just like the old days AKA Brian Nelson to name one chasing KLFC matcxh sponsors. 100% before a ball kicked and 1 of them (R.I.P) sponsored every cup game whether it 1.2.3. etc.

Not going round in circles, this LIAR is just stating the truth. Fully booked in the past seldom booked recently and beyond. TO EXPENSIVE by a country mile subsequently few takers and by the soiund of it those that do a deal ITS CASH.
