Curzon website:

Yesterday we excepted the resignation of Adam Lakeland after we had an official approach from kings Lynn football club for Adams services.
Adam felt the pull of working with a fulltime team and this was something he wanted to do since he became a coach and the offer kings Lynn football club offered he couldn’t turn it down.

Also Adam will be joined by Sam walker who will join him on his new role.

We would like to thank both Adam and Sam for their professionalism and work ethic at the club over the years

I wish Adam well: he has a lot to live up to...."He is, in my opinion, the best manager in our division".

Stephen Cleeve takes a lot of flack, some of it without doubt justified.   This time however the should be applauded for the way he conducted the Club’s business through the right channels to get the target he wanted.

Are you watching Widdrington and Aldershot. There is a right way to do it.

A very interesting appointment, should have some good contacts with the only problem being our location.
I wonder how many of the 5 players who Hughes said would be back for Buxton game will be in that matchday squad.

ps: Though I would comment to get a current footballing matter at the head of fans forum.

Not really- just one guy's opinion. .....hopefully everyone will get behind him and he will do really well.

Knowing the league and what is required to work/not work and knowledge of other teams and players is a big bonus. Should mean hitting the ground running early on.

Still plenty of time left in season to change fortune, and make a play off run like Kidderminster did last season.

What Malc a bit like Sooty ?  :laughcry:.   Id settle for a team that becomes hard to beat and creates a few chances.

Not sure what kind of budget Adam had to work with at CA but have to assume this is a grade or two up.

New beginnings and all that

Malc did you ever get to the bottom of the ‘supposedly’ missing money, or will that now remain a mystery for all time ?

Credit to Mr Cleeve. He’s moved positively on the back of a poor start and now made what appears to be an excellent appointment which, thank goodness, has nothing to do with past managerial situations at the Club. Here’s looking forward to better things. We must not expect too much though. Staying in the NLN would be enough for me this season given our current position and players.
