An honest assessment which gives me positive vibes.

Without actually criticising the previous regime, he alludes to the group not being up to it (fitness wise) and the recruitment not being the greatest which again, alludes to what we were all thinking in that Hughes was a nice chap, but not up to it.

I genuinely think that given a bit of time, Adam Lakeford will do a very good job at Lynn

I totally agree he seems to know what I have been saying and thinking we have no wingers, without wide men we don’t get the crosses into the box for the forwards to feed on.

Like the game at the weekend, some positives and negatives with that post-match interview and good to see him being pretty frank, hopefully that will continue.

On the positive side he is pretty clear now why we are where we are and, as you would expect, he is confident in his ability in turning that around which will probably come down to his contacts and who he can bring into the club (agree with his rationale that it will probably be loans rather than signings).  Appreciate he has to be positive about JB and wouldn't disagree with his assessment that when he is at it he can be one of the best players in NLN but I would worry about searching for a system that gets the best out of him, for me TW did that at the start of last season - pick a strong first XI and then introduce JB later in the game - we don't have that luxury (level of financial doping) this season so have to find a team set up that can consistently get results rather than compromising the team for one player

On the negative side, although I can understand his thought process around youth / experienced players given where we are in the league, I was disappointed that even though he has gone through all the footage of games he didn't mention any of the younger lads, most notably Isaacson and Fadajdo, who I think have performed well when they have been given the opportunity.

I think he has made a huge mistake. As someone with ambition and desire to develop and improve, with an emphasis on getting involved with a full time club, why would you take the first one that comes along? This is a full time club in name only, and does not have anything near the infrastructure and support required to be full time club. This move is unlikely to improve his CV regardless of his ability, because decision making will always be a key consideration of his future employment.

First class assessment of the problems within and around the club..Just shows the pathetic naivety with Hughes in charge,
I can see these current players at least becoming fitter and aware of there responsibilities towards the club /supporters whilst being full time. We must give this management time and funds if possible because on one interview he ticks all the boxes with his brutal assessments 👍🙏

I thought he was very clear and concise with his comments.
The one stood out for me was that a full time club after pre season training and friendly matches and 11 league matches in he can see within a few days that the players are not fit.
If that is the case it will not be turned round in a couple of weeks and it also raises the question what have they been doing since starting pre season,  :countingmoney:

We’ll see what the coming games will bring. At least we have a manager who knows what’s what in this league. I do feel we need more nous amongst the team as what is required. We don’t need a team of boys playing against men. Easier said than done I know. I don’t think AL has come here to fail, so things will improve I’m sure. Onwards and hopefully upwards.
