Changes you would make?

Great result today, huge 3 points.

What would you do to the squad if you were Lakeland?

At the very least I’d try get a striker who can actually hold the ball up and contribute over 90 minutes.

I don’t think Cybulski is the answer & Bartley hasn’t looked any better!

AL Will probably be sorting those 2 out as well as a few others if you refer to his first interview. :scarf:

Every game gives AL the chance to sort the wheat from the chaff. He will only bring in players who can handle this league. COYL

Must have been around 8 squad members who weren’t involved yesterday. So maybe some sorting out to do with loans and players moving on.  Would still expect more players coming in.   Looks as though the new Manager has a somewhat different ‘style’ to what we enjoyed under Culverhouse.   Be interesting to see if he plays that way at The Walks.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Changes?…….  Pick more attacking midfielders and attackers than defenders and centre-halves, then attack with 6 and defend with 9.  Spending more time around their penalty area than they do around ours which will give us more chance of winning than losing.

Changes?  Both full backs have struggled all season and don't look as though they are up to this level. Is Isaacson ready yet? Good potential The jury is out for the moment. Midfield looks better with Hargreaves but without Spence or Smith, so we need Hughes fit and two more new midfielders. Barrett looks good up front but can't be everywhere, needs support. Stephens struggles to keep pace and has missed some sitters. Mr Cleeve needs deep pockets to support new recruits good enough for this level. Shopping list: Two new experienced wing backs, Two new experienced midfielders. One new striker (or two if Barrett returns to attacking midfield).
On another subject, was it a good decision to pay players in the womens league? Latest embarrassing result 0 - 13 against Bedford.  Thoughts?

Apparently it's only a tenner a game.

Agree with Foster’s requirements in general.  And good to hear praise for Barrett, easily our best player, except what’s the difference between a midfield attacker and an attacking midfielder?!  They all move all over the place, or should do!

Think we need...

A fitter squad, well drilled, pacy and functional .....a no nonsense outfit that are hard to beat , take their chances and don't look too pretty....this is the NLN not the Premier League. (IC's squad would probably not have got promoted had the season run its course)

More people who are prepared to track back and stick their foot in.

A hard, defensive midfielder, well experienced at the level, who can play a bit

A winger or two with real flair and pace.

A goalscorer or two ,capable in one on one situations, to actually take the chances that JB provides.

Adam Crowther regularly in the line up

After watching the Darlo game if the new Managers tactics is for Jones to launch 70 yard howitzers from his hands then I would suggest we need a Defty/Gash type to hold the thing up.   Certainly need a right wing back as the International we have there at the mo doesn’t cut it, for me.

Maybe the pitch has been set up so it favour's those kind of tactics.  :dontknow:

Could well be the case but have we got a ‘No 9’ to play off ?

Agree on the women's football front. It's the latest trend and without sounding controversial, for a non-league team is it worth the time/effort/money?
